At least Sweden is looking pretty solid on the D's for this age group, I'm thinking of Simon Sandström, Jonathan Leman, Oliver Kylington, Filip Berglund, just to mention a few, also the late -98 born Adam Tilander.
The forwards however doesn't look that strong imo, sure there's some interesting players but it's still the weakest part by far. As it has been for Sweden the last 4-5 years, looking at the draft we've not produced that many world class top end forward prospects, I'm talking Landy class prospects, whereas we've produced quite a few absolute world class D and G prospects.

Forwards look OK. I liked what I have seen so far from Carl Grundström, Max Lindholm and Jens Lööke. Philip Magnusson seem to put up a lot of points but I have not seen him play. Then there are some good smaller guys as always. The forwards of last years tournament were very good, the forward quality this year might not be as good but it’s still OK.
Einar Emanuelsson'sacceleration is second to none and he's really shifty. Feels like something is happening every time he's on the ice. Philip Magnusson put up a lot of points but didn't show much against the playoff teams Uppland and Värmland he played. He didn't score any points in those games. Could be just a coincidence but we'll see. I really like Jonathan Léman, he's dominant but at the same time not too selfish. He acknowledges that the simple play sometimes is better for him aswell. That C to D switch he made(as he said in an interview) has probably gotten him a better understanding for the game. He's got quite a heavy first step though he needs to improve. Didn't get a long enough look at Oliver Kylington, but I'd say that he is one of the most intriguing ones in this age group. He's very fast and got hard crisp passes. Was a bit too much "me against the world" in the quarterfinal despite having quite good team mates, though. I felt some similarities to Erik Karlsson however. As for goalies, I gotta say that Daniel Marmenlind might even be the tournament MVP all things considered. Amazing technique and movement for a guy his age. He makes himself look very big in the net. He's gonna make a great duo alongside Felix Sandgren with Team 16 early on. Looks like a strong goaltending and D class like has been said, forwards need a little work.

Sure, there's some very interesting forwards in that age group, and it's arguably a better group than the 97's.
Just to clarify, I'm not saying any age groups of forwards are bad. It's just that we won't have any problem putting together one of the best group of D's and G's for Olympic tournaments for decades to come, but when it comes to forwards we're just not as competitive. That's all. For some reason we're just better at developing defensemen and goalies.
Edit: Looks like it was only the standings you could change seasons for on the main page. But if you select a team you can change season from that page..
Honestly I'm not surprised that the Swedish teams are taking a lot of penalties in International competition if these are the reffing standards in juniors. They don't call much outside of the blatant stuff. Internationally they call everything.
I really like Einar Emanuelsson. Speedy, good technique, entertaining.
Love how he always follow through om the rebounds, and as joe89 wrote; his acceleration is quite extraordinary. Surprisingly different from his brother though who's more of a sniper.
