On the Fantasy and Video Game Board, someone posted that Jonas Brodin isn't in the game. Can anyone with the early release confirm or deny that for me? Pretty significant for our league...
Word on the street is that P.K Subban maybe are on hes way out of Montreal a couple of teams are asking for him. P.K and Montreal can find a way to agree on a new contract, so the word is that Montreal are shopping him.
Attention everyone, i have an important announcement to make, and am calling a league wide vote.
I have received some PM's about making a trade limit for our GCL (GM Connected League) and how its not very realistic.
So I ask, do you want a trade limit for every season? 3 trades per season? 5 trades? etc.
PLEASE PM ME YOUR VOTE, it should be as follows: (all GM's will remain anonymous)
1) Yes/No - (do you want a trade limit?)
2) 3/5/7/whatever you think is best - (if yes, how many trades should be allowed per season)
3) Yes/No - (would you like a reset on all trades? Some prospects are not in the game and are not as good as advertised [thanks to people with Season Ticket and have played it already] and it would give GM's a better look on their prospects and players and let them know if they want to trade him or not. GMs could still execute the same trades if they still want to)
4) When would you like the league to start?/when can you get the game?) (I was thinking September 18th, one week after release, im buying it on the 11th)
5) (any other concerns you have)
AGAIN, PLEASE PM ME IN THE ABOVE FORMAT ^, IT WILL TAKE A MAJORITY VOTE TO GET IT PASSED (at least 16 GM's in agreement, per topic)

In other news, it seems that every season will be 2 weeks, not 1 month, i guess there's a limit on the time frame. There will be much more simming involved, which i actually think is better (who expects to play 60+ user v user games every month?)
Also, DET GM has been pm'd, if he doesn't respond by September 11th, 11:59 pm, he will be kicked and our reserve will take his spot

Personally, I think we should tackle on issue at a time. Start by voting on a trade limit. After that's decided, decide how much the limit will be. Once the limit is set/no limit, we vote on resetting rosters, and then finally we decide when to start the league.

I agree in principle, but it'd take too much time getting the votes in over that many rounds, going by the apparent visiting frequency of several of the GMs.
I don't see any reason people cant re do the same trades again at their discretion. If both people want the trade to stand I think it will even if we have all trades undone.
However, some GMs made foolish trades for prospects... maybe they should live with them?
I think a lot of GMs came away with lots of picks/name prospects even if they lost key roster players so maybe they can move them for good players?
PS- Nashville I will give you my own 4th. I wasn't keeping track and didn't think I had more 4ths sorry. Happy for Legwand trade to stand even though it looks not finalized on here.
Still tallying votes, 14 GM's have voted so far. once any of the topics reaches 16 votes for a certain side, i will announce it (since it wont matter what the remaining gm's think for that topic)
Remember, I'm going to go by the majority here (16/30 gm's), and i hope no one leaves if the decision doesn't go the way they want. That would be a shame because we have a great league here.
Also, seems like everyone so far has said that September 18th is good for a start date, a few more votes for that and it will be official. I hope everyone gets the game by then, i wont be able to delay the league for a select few people.

So when we starting this? I hope not tomorrow I know we got people in Europe and I am west coast time zone so we have to figure all the time zone issues out.
