I'm impressed by the amount of politics and Lev vs Sparta&Slavia fans trashtalk on Czech websites and the level of pessimism on Slovak ones. What the hell guys, enjoy the hockey!

But still likely to be low playoff seeds at best.

Where's a good place to find streams for KHL games if you're in the US?

nvm, found answer in another thread!

No offence to Poprad, but that team would've finished dead last overall this year. And the new Lev is certainly capable of being one of the top eight in the West. Remember that the club was almost built from a scratch, give them some time to develop team chemistry. As for Slovan... well, Slovak fans, hope dies last.

sure they are (Prague for sure), Slovan - not so much, marginally may be, but all I meant is that they not gonna make the play-offs, it's actually just above your post, why are you interpreting my words otherwise, no clue...Prague wasn't even mentioned.

Most Points in regular season: Alexander Radulov (CSKA)
Most Goal in regular season: Evgeny Kuznetsov (Tractor)
MVP in regular season: Evgeny Kuznetsov (Tractor)
Coach of the year: Valery Belousov (Tractor)
Rookie of the year: Alexander Khokhlachev (Spartak)

Feel free to pick ur winner

As the winners of the RSL and the winners of Gagarin Cup so far are the same I would say either one of the three previous winners or Avangard, Lokomotiv or Magnitogorsk. Most I really hope for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl !!! They really have a great team again and off course such a comeback would be fantastic for the hockey world.

Here's an easy one:

Most penalized player: Jeremy Yablonski (Vityaz)

Two periods in, Donbass looks poor. I can't say CSKA looks good too, but they really should be leading.

I see Filatov didn't play yesterday... already injured or, even worse, already dropped from his team?

Vener Safin, Salavat's coach, said that he was very disappointed with Filatov's game, so he was a healthy scratch.

Nikita actually disproves 2 myths, one North American and one Russian.

The Russian myth is that it doesn't matter how well a player plays, he's done if he plays under an "anti-Russian" coach and can only be saved by returning to Russia. While this may somehow be related to truth, we have seen Filatov regressing in both N/AHL and KHL, under different coaches, due to the exact same reasons - below average work ethic, arrogance and immaturity. I doubt that MHL coach didn't want to play Nikita because he's Russian.

The NA myth is that Russian players can come and estabilish themselves in the NHL while being lazy and having a bad attitude. And if something goes against their opinion, they run to the KHL, where skill is the only important thing. While in fact the players without heart and will to work hard will regress and disappear in the KHL as well, and none of the NHL regulars (and very few good KHL players) are "lazy soft Russians".

Was hoping Filatov would help Grigorenko with Radulov and half the team gone. Can anyone tell me how Grigs is looking so far in preseason and early season?

I guess you are looking for Spartak - Lev highlights too. They usually have all the games covered, so i don't know what has gone wrong. Let's wait for the Monday and hopefully they'll show up.

Filatov needs to get his **** together and work work work. What a waste of talent. It's hard to believe just how dominant he was in 2009 WJC, and to see how uninspired his game is now.

Does anybody know anything about Artemi Panarin's injury? Hes been out both games thusfar and is listed as injured. Hopefully nothing serious. Any pre-season info on him would also be helpful
