Do NHL GM's come to HF and look at the proposals ?

BTW, the real answer is "only the terrible GMs." Yes, occasionally trades are actually called, but it's more a case of throwing enough s*** on the wall that some has to stick.

Something like the Weber offer sheet is an easy example. For every RFA from a small market team, there's been suggestions of huge front loaded offer sheets being made. Weber is just the one case where it was actually made and the offer sheet was signed.

Actually quite a few. I remember one of the proposals right after Cole got hurt was for the Pens to send Recchi to the Canes for a 2nd and a prospect. A few days later....

Combination of a few people actually knowing what they're talking about, obvious roster needs being looked at, and knowing who's likely to be shipped elsewhere. It does happen every now and then.

you forgot the part where they then laugh and have inside jokes with eachother based on some of the proposals here.

edit: wait, had that trade reversed.

I remember someone proposed Handzus for Calder several years ago, and then the trade occurred a day later.

Sutton for Foster was proposed by Oilers poster Joey Moss maybe a week(?) before it happened.

I'd be willing to bet that Eklund has a better prediction record than HF.

I'm sure they come on here to read and I'm sure one or two of them have been "inspired" from some of the talk on here deal wise. It's only human.

Garth Snow probably does

Islander fan: We're not doing **** at this deadline, as usual. We may trade one of our guys for a useless pick or something, but that's about it.

Garth listens to the fans

OP has 17 posts and joined in 2012.

He asks this question. This particularly question. Suspicious.

I think he's trying to discredit the idea, so Tambo can let HF do his work.

I remember Erik Cole for Joni Pitkanen being mentioned enough that no-one was surprised by the trade.

Man am I glad that oiler era is over.

There's lots of us with decent ideas, but there are so many more with awful ones. Its hard to see the good through the bad sometimes.

There is what, about 1000 proposals a week on this site? Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

If a GM checked this site out, it would be for comedy relief.

The basis for each and every trade ever made has been inspired by HF.
