The "heart" of the lineup needs a heart transplant.
A lot of lousy ABs tonight against a starting pitcher who was struggling to throw strikes and when he did they were over the fat part of the plate with nothing on them.
They beat themselves tonight. Time to focus on the Wild Card. But this is gonna be the third straight year the Gints finish above us. That is completely unacceptable and I hope the owners realize that.
Are there Ducks fans here that are Dodger fans? Because we certainly have Angels/Kings fans like Herby. Just seems like the Ducks fan base is exclusive to Angel fans.

I have a few friends who are, but you are right, not nearly as many.
If you grew up in OC before the Ducks existed, there is a pretty good chance you are going to be a Kings/Angels fan like I am. Those were the local teams.

Would you say a lot of Ducks fans used to be Kings fans?

I would say no.
I was 11 when the Ducks came into the league, there was no way I was switching, I think the same goes for most people my age or older in OC. I think most of the Ducks fan base was made up of new fans.
Jeez, the Dodgers almost beat themselves again today. Why in the ****ing world did they try to steal bases with the heart of the order batting? ****ing morons.

Honestly if that was the players decision to go...Mattingly best be ripping into HanRam an Ethier after this game. Could have cost them dearly.
If it was Mattingly sending them...well **** that guy he needs to be fired for stupid **** like that.
Back to back steal attempts with two on and no outs with the heart of the lineup coming up??

The NFL is losing out on fans like me, a diehard L.A. born and bred guy. I really don't watch the games like I used to when the Rams were here.
I spend my Sundays more productively these days...like spending time with my kids, or doing errands, or even catching up on work. I might turn on a game for background noise, but I don't "get into it" and watch it for hours on end, because without a team, we don't have a stake.
At least, that has been my view for the past 17 seasons.
Get it done, Tim! Then people like me will become fans again.

This. I would feel plastic rooting for a an NFL team that represents a city not named Los Angeles. When the hell are we getting a damn NFL team?

Just like Kemp was perfectly fine after crashing into the Coors wall two nights in a row?
Receiving a cortisone shot is never a good thing.
Im not excited about it just looking at the bright side. I think a cortisone shot puts you out for a few days regardless before it starts working. I wonder if the hip problem is related to him favoring his foot all season.

I thought it was his planting foot. What hip did he have his injection on?
La Times is saying that he was in the outfield shagging balls today.
I read he got the shot in his right hip. The report I read made it sound like he was in the outfield testing out an injury (this was before the disclosed the hip injury).
What is the holdup with the building of Farmers Field may I ask? Are there any lawsuits pending?
I haven't followed this as much since the hopes have died down a bit. But from what I've heard, AEG won't break ground until there's a guarantee that a team will be moving here.
