I'm confused, are people arguing that Boychuk is anything but a dissapointment, or are people arguing with certain other people just for the sake of arguing?

There are plenty of arguments going on, but I don't think anyone is arguing that Boychuk's progress isnt disappointing/non-existent.

I just get mad when people insist that he's lazy, and especially when the accusations coincide with him not being at some skate that's held in
Raleigh. He's never going to be in the top 6 in Raleigh, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person.
I've only had to block one user in the entirety of my HFBoards career.
Not surprisingly, that poster was from the BoH forum in the waning months of the Thrashers existence. It got real bad over there during that time.
One of the wisest mod actions I've seen here was a couple of years ago on the BoH board (surprise!) when one stepped in and edited my ignore list and that of another forumer so that we were forced to ignore each other. I haven't seen that individual's posts since, except when they're quoted, and every time I think to myself, "damn am I ever glad that guy is on my ignore list".
With Staal, Staal, Semin, Skinner, Ruutu and most likely Jokinen rounding out the top 6, that leaves quite a few people fighting over the bottom 6 positions.
Stewart, Dwyer, LaRose, Brent, Nodl, Tlusty, Wallace, Welsh, Bowman, Dalpe, Samson, Boychuk, Nash, etc. There's too many one-way contracts in that list! It will take one HECK of a training camp and pre-season for any of the Checkers/two-way contracts to bump those vets on one way deals. I don't see it happening.

True. But there are bound to be 1 or 2 injuries and unless they have outstanding seasons this year, a few of those guys ( some of Stewart, Wallace, Brent, Nodl) will likely be gone next season. LaRose and Semin also have to be re-signed. I really think that's why they gave Bowman a 2 way deal for this season and 1 way for next season. They are probably thinking there might not be a spot this year, but likely will be next year. The same goes for the rest of those guys though as their real chance is likely next year.
Which of those guys has to go through waivers to get sent to Charlotte?
Canes rank 28th best franchise in all of North America
Toronto Maple Leafs LAST lmao

When this poll was conducted in May, the Canes were still ranked 23rd in all of professional sports in our title track category ... and they had just missed their third consecutive playoffs. Since then owner Peter Karmanos has proved his willingness to get them back on track by allowing GM Jim Rutherford to sign Jordan Staal to a 10-year, $60 million contract (uniting two of the Staal brothers), re-up Jeff Skinner with a six-year deal and poach Alexander Semin from division-rival Washington with a one-year, $7 million contract. But just because payroll has gone up doesn't mean fan costs have followed. The Canes didn't raise prices a cent this year and remain one of the most affordable teams to be a fan of in the league. They also remain one of the most plugged-in teams in hockey when it comes to their community, with events like the annual Caniac Carnival, which included a free preseason game for all fans. The new season is shaping up to be a good year for the Canes, and the exclamation points have been flying on the blog Canes Country. As Limelon sums it up: "I haven't been this excited for this team since the '09 playoffs."
It's his birthday today. He's now "of age" and must complete the rite of passage. I can see it now:

The Carolina Hurricanes announce that Jeff Skinner will miss the 2012-2013 season with concussion-like symptoms. The injury happened last night during a birthday celebration for Jordan Staal. When asked about the cause of the injury, the Staal brothers were quoted as saying: "He ran into a door...multiple times...Alcohol, am I right?"
Not to change the subject, but does anyone know what day NHL 13 comes out? Wiki says the game: "will be released between September 11–13, 2012" That's a 72 hour window, I need to know which day(s) to book off work
