Hard to take what he says seriously. Seemed to keep bring up playing through the season while negotiating which he should know is a non starter after Fehr's history in MLB. We'll see if anything actually gets done but so far the players have been the ones dragging their feet.

So nothing of substance said? I agree the players have been the ones to reluctantly negotiate. The NHL was ready to talk for months but the NHLPA wanted to wait til after the playoffs were over. Then they took a full month to reply to the NHL's initial offer when there was only a couple of months left in the current deal. Obviously the NHL isn't going to agree to play under the current deal when they're simply stalling negotiations. Not to mention the very real possibility of the players striking right before playoffs like fehr did with MLB.

He didn't say a hell of a lot, almost 300 players going out east. Having meetings Wednesday and Thursday. Seemed to indicate their first offer was very low and they're not budging much.
