This indeed was the makeup game, so yeah you'll have plenty of no shows both due to the difference in the day and due to the fact that today was the first big football day of the year.
After watching the 2008 Phillies Word Series DVD this team needs to make the playoffs. I gotta have post season baseball to watch especially if there is a lockout for the Flyers.

I thought this was what a number of people wanted before this season? Back to how it was before 2008? The ability to get good seats any time, be closer to the action. Exactly why people said they didn't like going to games anymore. Granted it was a makeup game and that hurt attendance, but it's not like they've sold out every game this year.
I'm glad that winning like the Phils are now isn't as horribly painful in baseball as it would be in football, basketball, or hockey. We can hope the Phils keep winning without completely screwing over their drafting.

Best result would be Dodgers, Dodgers, Cardinals, Dodgers, wouldn't it? Assuming the Phillies win all of their games during that time.

Thinking about making a bet on the Phillies. The money you would win is astronomical for 100 bucks.... of course they would have to win the Pennant or World Series, but for the money, it would be well worth it.
Currently to win the NL Pennant they are 9000 to 1
Currently to win the World Series they are 15000 to 1
Of course I don't believe the odds are in their favor, but for 100 a piece it would be something special.
I think Mccarthy and Wheels also said it on air, because I also thought they were playing the Dodgers.

I think tonight I hit an all time high in terms of my intolerance for Tmac and Wheels.
TMac's ok with me, Wheels just makes me want to jump off a cliff. LA and Franzke would be the best. I really don't think anyone likes Wheels. My gf likes everyone and said "Jeeze, I just want to stab Wheels."
