It's painful to see CBP this empty. Was this the make-up game from yesterday? Or was that the afternoon game?

This indeed was the makeup game, so yeah you'll have plenty of no shows both due to the difference in the day and due to the fact that today was the first big football day of the year.

Still, how about Chooch?

Alright, this is becoming too much of a tease. Are they seriously making a run?

This is when you painfully start to look back at games with what ifs. Most recently that blown 7 1 lead in Atlanta.

If they had a couple of reliable bullpen arms throughout the year... Dude. What if.

Nope. Lost too many other games that they had chances of winning and are way too far back. But at least it's not painful to watch them play.

6 games out with 22 to play. I'm just glad it's still possible.

After watching the 2008 Phillies Word Series DVD this team needs to make the playoffs. I gotta have post season baseball to watch especially if there is a lockout for the Flyers.

Why the hell is Martinez startng at 3rd? I know Frandsen is battling an injury but he played yesterday. Also either Nate or Ruf should be starting in the OF over Wiggington.

They need to realistically go 18-4 the rest of the way to have a shot.

I thought this was what a number of people wanted before this season? Back to how it was before 2008? The ability to get good seats any time, be closer to the action. Exactly why people said they didn't like going to games anymore. Granted it was a makeup game and that hurt attendance, but it's not like they've sold out every game this year.

I'm glad that winning like the Phils are now isn't as horribly painful in baseball as it would be in football, basketball, or hockey. We can hope the Phils keep winning without completely screwing over their drafting.

This is going to be interesting if Kendrick and these young bullpen arms can keep it up for the next 3 weeks. The Cards and Dodgers play a 4 game series starting tonigh, with the best result being they split.

Best result would be Dodgers, Dodgers, Cardinals, Dodgers, wouldn't it? Assuming the Phillies win all of their games during that time.

Dodgers are currently 1.5 back.

Game #1: .5 Back (Phillies 5 GB)
Game #2: .5 Up (4 GB, is this right?)
Game #3: .5 Back (3 GB)
Game #4: .5 Up (2 GB)

I could be entirely off on this though.

Touche. Well we'll have to wait and see what comes of the Dodgers/Cardinals upcoming series.

Thinking about making a bet on the Phillies. The money you would win is astronomical for 100 bucks.... of course they would have to win the Pennant or World Series, but for the money, it would be well worth it.

Currently to win the NL Pennant they are 9000 to 1
Currently to win the World Series they are 15000 to 1

Of course I don't believe the odds are in their favor, but for 100 a piece it would be something special.

Unfortunately their schedule is pretty easy, with the Padres (who have been better), Cubs and Astros coming up.

Yeah, mixed up the dates. They are down 4-2. They play LA in a 4 game set starting Thursday. Still a huge series.

I think Mccarthy and Wheels also said it on air, because I also thought they were playing the Dodgers.

Your fault for paying attention to them BSing I don't remember hearing that at all and I watched the whole game, but I'd be lying if I said I heard everything they said.

I think tonight I hit an all time high in terms of my intolerance for Tmac and Wheels.

TMac's ok with me, Wheels just makes me want to jump off a cliff. LA and Franzke would be the best. I really don't think anyone likes Wheels. My gf likes everyone and said "Jeeze, I just want to stab Wheels."
