I only caught the second half today (I was at the game when it happened). We sit next to the bench and there were not many players sitting there.

What a wild one.

I miss hockey.

I believe NESN has a game on at 3. The Nucks at Boston (Not sure what game ?)

NESN is starting the B's game now. I was hoping it was one of the SCF games but it it the game last year against the Nucks.

I don't know why they picked this game to show

Agreed. If NESN wants to replay a game, I'd vote for Seguin's hat trick vs. Toronto. That was epic.

They probably picked it to show cause it was like the most watched game in NESN history haha.

I was at Cask n' Flagon for it...it was incredible there.

Me too...and 6 Nucks jump Shawn T. Weise want to drop the gloves and changes his mind...I hate that team.

How about replaying the SCF games against the Nucks ??? I would like to watch gams 3,4,6 and 7

Maybe I will watch the DVD of the B's Cup run/win.

Weather here in Southern NH is interesting. It is hot and humid. For awhile it was dead calm but the wind is picking up and the sky is a yellow grey . There are warnings about severe storms.

I remember that game also.

that reminds me, anybody who wouldn't want PK Subban on their team would not want Tim Gleason either. The way Gleason played this game was embarrasing.

Jesus I hate defending these ****s...but I thought Gleason played wicked smart that game. He basically goated the Bruins into blowing the game themselves by getting caught up in antics and ESPECIALLY in Horton's case, taking stupid penalties.

Horton tried to get into a fight which is good and dandy in all, but the B's had just scored...and his antics really cost them.

Meanwhile, Gleason, while yes...he didn't answer the bell when asked, came out clearly on top as the smarter and victorious player.

I don't think there's any doubt around the league that Gleason is a tough guy and a hell of a defender, he just knew how to play the Bruins that game.

But it wasn't Thornton going after Gleason, it was Lucic and Horton. Both are 1st line players. Gleason punked out. i don't respect that.

If it was game 70 of the season with playoff implications then i would give Gleason a pass. it was game 3( i think). i'll give gleason a pass on the Horton situation because of the score and time of the game. But he had no reason to walk away from Lucic.

It made Lucic lose his cool and get kicked out of the game.

and yes, it's Horton and Lucic...both first liners, both a fair trade. But Gleason got them both 10 minute misconducts while continuing to play rather than getting one off for 5 and taking himself off for 5. That's a hell of a trade off for Carolina, why wouldn't you take that?

Gleason's a tough guy who's more than willing to drop the gloves, and I'm sure it irked him to not drop them..but he did what he need to do to help his team, and in the end...it made Horton and Lucic throw hissy fits in a losing effort.

I get what you are saying. But if i am on the Carolina bench and my "tough guy" Dman is trying to get under players skin and not doing anything about it... i wouldn't be too happy.. because chances are, someone is going to pay for Gleason's actions.

It may have not happened this game. But if Gleason continues to play this way against the Bruins, someone will pay from the Canes.

IMO, put Gleason under any other coach aside from Lewis, he mans up and fights.

But Paul Maurice is has a pants tent for soft teams and playing passive.

Yeah I just think it was less to do with gleason and more to do with that was the way every team played the Bruins at the beginning of the season. the teams saw what went on in June and knew not to engage and poke the bear and it really frustrated the B's early on, until they found different ways to motivate themselves...like seeing Boston at the bottom of the east standings Haha.
