I like white pads. It's been proven that the five-hole is less exposed with light color pads. That's why MAF switch from yellow to white.

Don't they say the goalies pick white pads so they can see the puck better when on the ice? Something like that I remember hearing from a goalie anyways

It seems like each new season he has different gear, just an observation.

Meh, I'm in the minority but I never bought into that, as a goalie myself. I'll believe it when a study is done to conclusively prove it makes a difference. Until then, I remain unsold.

Oh God, yes. I've been calling this for years. His original mask remains by far his best.

Well it doesn't help when you let in every shot anyway.

I might be wrong, but I thought the idea with white pads was to make the 5 hole appear a bit bigger than it was, leading to easier saves.
Fleury didn't stop getting beat 5 hole when he had those atrocious yellow pads, although that might be due to the point that he's not that good.

Wrong ice is white, harder to find wholes.
Besides, does CP really give a rats ass what you guys think of his pads ?
RBK, is the one that cares, they are the ones selling the product.

Or it makes it look like there are holes, but in reality it's the pads...
That's what Fleury had said about his white pads.
As for the 'does CP care what you guys say', he probably doesn't, although I'm not sure what that has to do with this thread. Nothing wrong with discussing hockey equipment on a hockey forum.
