Love this organization, and love the way they do business.

Great deal for the Bruins, and for Seguin. I'm going to love watching him turn into an elite players in the Black and Gold.

good deal for both sides. seems like segs took a bit less cash than most HF expected. Last big names left for new deals are Lucic and Rask!

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/...extension.html

CBC said 6 years $42M, wouldn't that make it $7M a year? Or are they just terribly misinformed?

edit: just saw TSN say $34.5M ... I think CBC flubbed it.

Par for the course, given other contracts seen recently.

This is a great deal for the Bruins. That money is fine even if Seguin never eclipsed 70 points and stayed in the +60 range. That's what that kind of production gets nowadays.

However it's pretty safe to assume that Seguin hasen't peaked yet so the deal will age like wine.

Great deal when looking at players signing comparable deals this offseason. I'd bet Seguin is as good as any over the course of these contracts.

Honestly, in today's NHL this has to be considered a great signing for the team. For BOS to get 6yrs and only have to give an annual $5.75 cap hit is amazing. We've seen some pretty bad deals signed this calender year alone but this isn't one of them. Congrats to BOS.
