He doesn't show up even when you start the game, so I am assuming they removed him. Should be added back once Binghamton starts up since he is playing there this season.

Does anybody have any idea how the free agency works right at the start of the game? Is it that bidding period thing?

Offline or online? Works the same as always offline, but have not tried it online. We could always start up a preleague kind of league where people who already have it can join up to test out features.

Im talking about the gm connected. I couldve swore i read theres like "x" numer of bidding rounds at the start to see who gets FA's, but i could be wrong.

So fueled off of boredom / aggravated that toys r us screwed me, i just rode my bike to gamestop which is 6 miles away from my apartment.

I got the last copy for $10 after the combo of trading in battlefield 3, nhl 12, and skyrim. They give you 30% extra trade in value for nhl 13.

Now im sitting my sweaty ass down with a dip in, and danglin with Karlsson. Id say it was worth it haha

Edit: Actually i might change my opinion of the last paragraph. I opened my hut packs and lo and behold, my first line is Konopka / O'Brien / Hemsky. Dear god.

Also, i think we nee to go 1 month injuries on / 1 off. The injuries are about the same as last year, but they have weird lengths. A defenseman of mine was out with a "broken leg" and the time was 3 weeks lol...

Agreed, i was thinking 3-4 weeks = 1 season.

Looks like a good trade for both teams! I'd give the edge to the Isles on this one.

Couple things about the sim engine:

Guess who wins the top line spot with Spezza and Michalek...Eric "empty net" Condra! He scores 19 goals with 20 assists.

Karlsson puts up 51 (10/41) points in 82 games.

Zibanejad scored 30 points in 70 games in the AHL on the second line.

Logan Couture played the whole year in the AHL and got 68 points in 72 games for third in the league.

The leading NHL scorers in order are: Zetterberg, St Louis, Stamkos, Datsyuk, Parise, Spezza with 89/ 83/ 83/ 83/ 82/ 79 points.

Ovechkin gets 78 points, Crosby = 75, Malkin = 72.

Yakupov got 26 points on the first line playing all 82 games.

I did my prospective trades and the rebuilding Predators come in 2nd in the NHL behind St Louis with 106 points. Like wtf?

The Rangers, Phili, Boston, and Winnipeg are all in the bottom five in the league with Anaheim.

Conclusion: they made the sim engine worse by a lot. I am not impressed.

The second had me thinking. But Neilsen is criminally underrated and is a Coyote type of player, fits right into the system.

I wish I knew. I looked at their roster after the season ended and he was their third best player! They had 900k in cap space so thats probably why.

Yakupov went from a 62 to a 65 after the season after he played in the NHL on the first line. Hall and Eberle turn into 88 and 87. Huberdeau goes to 85. Rundblad becomes an 84, Zibanejad turns into a 71, Stone a 67, Courturier a 76, Silfverberg doesnt play in the NHL or AHL and is rated a 62.

I dont even want to continue...

Edit: at the draft i traded my 22nd overall 1st, third (82) and next years first for Anaheims first overall pick. (this is crazy stupid) I got Mackinnon with it. Shinkaruk goes 2nd, Pulock 3rd, Monohan 12th, Domi 23rd, and Barkov 61st just to name a few. Mackinnon was rated 60 overall after the draft
