I guess it's settled then

http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.co...lobby=standard

make sure you guys are practicing your drafting skills when you can. The mocks only have the default roster setup, but it gives you a good idea. My last mock has left me a bit nervous for our draft.

I might have loaded the mock draft page from my other league.

Just click draft central, mock drafts, standard drafts.

Mods, still waiting on a sticky.

What to do with the #1 pick... Something keeps making me want to pick Crosby even though I know Malkin is a safer pick. I just have a feeling he will be on a ridiculous pace for goals and points this season. Will he stay healthy is the question.

I think Malkin could be problematic if he goes to the KHL. They'll try to keep him for the year.

You're making me nervous though. I was hoping to score Crosby at 3.

It's risky though. I dont pick again until 24. If he gets injured thats no bueno.

But, I dont think his ridiculous pace in his short stints are a fluke i think he's that good. Not 2ppg good, but i could see him putting up 60g 120-130 points.

Although, you do know what you're doing DuckJet. I sense some tactics going on here cuz you want Malkin. Im on to you!

Btw, is it weird im discussing picks with my competition? i seem to be the only one. haha.

Yeah I was wondering as much. But it's not like you're really blowing us away with your info.

And I knew you'd say that (Malkin)

Its the first pick, you cant affect my gameplan (or lack of one) based on what im saying. Was fishing for some opinions cuz im such a noob and was extremely bored at work.

Btw, can anyone link me to where you can trade draft picks? Im really not interested in trading them more just curious on how to do it. And what about players? Do two managers have to trade an equal amount of players? e.g. one manager trades two players and has to get two back.

I'm not so sure you can without having drafted players already. Draft pick trading will be more for next year's quasi entry draft (collection of best players not on the 2013 player list or released by other teams)

Draft pick value is pretty simple. You can trade as many players as you want for one draft pick or a package that includes a draft pick but you must trade the same number of draft picks you are getting in return.

So valid trade:

Evander Kane+
1st overall+
Second round pick

For

Alex Ovechkin
26th round
27th round picks

Not a valid trade

1st round pick
2cd round
3rd round

For

1st round pick
Zenon Konopka

Hey, is there any app for Android?

I know DuckJet you mentioned an app, but i suppose that is only for iOS? Or i just can`t find?
Yahoo fantasy app would really help, even in draft.

I am going to skip on this you guys, there is going to be a lock out and I am not too sure where I will be in my life to take on a commitment of this caliber~!$

I read HFBoards daily and will still probably do so. At least for a little while longer.

I'm not sure. It's called Fantasy Monster Pro.

It's not really worth the money until the season starts though. I only use it to update my rosters on the go.

Ok man. This means there's now a spot open. I'll be notifying the first poster on the wait list.

I do but I'm waiting on a few wait listed posters to see if they want it first. If they don't get to me soon (2-3 days) you can have it.

Since Bleak backed out, I have to introduce the "technical" first member of the waitlist C4rcy. He wasn't the first to ask for a spot but taking into account that he was the first to respond, will be able to attend the Saturday live draft, and was one of the first members to sign up the first time I compiled a list of interested members (back in Spring).

So we should be able to go forward as planned.

Sometime this week I'm going to take a headcount of everyone who will be participating. As it stands it seems everyone is okay with the Saturday date and time, but I don't want anyone missing the draft and complaining to me that they didn't get who they wanted. No other weekends really work for everyone past this date so it's best that we get it over with as soon as possible. I urge anyone who has even the slightest bit of uncertainty over their ability to attend to prepare a pre-draft player ranking to ensure you get some of the players you may be coveting in the event that something prevents you from attending.

Going to have to nix C4rcy's sign up given the fact that he (or she?) agreed to commit to the league and the draft time but hasn't even registered a team yet. At this point the spot is open to anyone willing to commit to this weekend's draft.

Just have a full list prepared. Why can't you attend?

Thanks for checking in. How many did you have before? Cause 40 can cover you for maybe 2 or 3 picks.

I had zero before? My list was empty until i moved players from yahoos rankings to me predraft list. Is that the right list? It will auto pick from that list if i dont pick in time?

Anyways, 3-4 picks is like at least 30 min isnt it?

If everybody takes the full minute to make their selections. Which is unlikely. Three rounds could take 5-10 minutes if everyone is participating.

And yes that is the list. My list (though as Commish I obviously plan to attend) has about 187 guys on it. There's an option to show all players on the Yahoo list to add or remove from your rankings.
