Thomas is in the game,he started against my Leafs BAGM last night. I'm guessing the first roster update will correct this.

Blue Jackets add winners.

Sunday, 9.10.2012 / 10:03 PM / News
By Blue Jackets Staff - Writer

With today’s acquisition of Ales Hemsky from Edmonton, one thing is certain. For a franchise that has never won a playoff game, this year’s roster is jam packed with proven winners. Stanley Cup champions, conference champions, young and old, GM Randy (Drizz81) Ridgway has made one thing clear. “Together these guys WILL win. Everyone in this league is a winner at some level, now we have guys who have proven how to win in the NHL.”

Below is a look at some of the players acquired this summer:
• Brooks Orpik – 2010 Stanley Cup Champion with Pittsburgh, 2009 Eastern Conference Champion.
• David Clarkson – 2012 Eastern Conference Champion with New Jersey
• Mark Fayne-2012 Eastern Conference Champion with New Jersey
• Ales Hemsky – 2007 Western Conference Champion in Edmonton
• Jonathan Bernier – 2012 Stanley Cup Champion with Los Angeles
• Jordan Nolan – 2012 Stanley Cup Champion with Los Angeles
• Brandon Dubinsky-Artem Anisimov – 2012 Eastern Conference runner up with the New York Rangers.

Also in the news is rumors of trade talks involving Chris Pronger, Marc Savard, and others. Ridgway replied with, “Well Pronger is in Boston now so you can forget about him, I like our team right now.”

NHL.COM caught up with Penguins GM SWIC21 this afternoon for a quick Q and A regarding this off-season, and this years expectations:

Q:With all the moves you have made is it safe to say the Penguins are stronger than the previous years?
A:Well its hard to say that we are stronger with us not even starting the season yet,but we made some moves that we believe have given us the extra push we need.

Q:Is Sidney Crosby's health a concern?
A:Well Sid has been training very hard this off-season with expectations to play all 82 games. He had a great playoffs and we have full confidence that Sid will be able to play all 82.That being said,we may choose to rest Sid at some points of the year.

Q:Realistically what are your expectations going into the season?
A:Ill be completely honest here.Anything less that the cup will be a let down and a disappointment. We believe we built a team here that can win it all.We have the perfect mix of veteran leadership and young guns.

Q:What do you make of the trades your Atlantic rivals have made?
A:Well Philly's GM has been very active. We as GM's make the best moves that will make our teams better. The Devils are another example of a great hockey mind.He was bold and traded Kovalchuk and it paid off for him.And as I said before the Flyer's GM made some very big moves in acquiring Oliver Ekman-Larsson,R.J Umberger, and Lars Eller. It's going to make for very competitive hockey in the best division in the league.

NHL.COM analyst:Well we appreciate the time and wish you the best this season.

Fox Sports Tennessee has just released an interview with Predators GM EvilAsh. The GM answers questions about the future of the club and the loss of Ryan Suter to the Minnesota Wild. Most importantly we finally get some answers to the infamous Shea Weber trade to the New York Rangers for star forward Marian Gaborik.

FST: Most fans are still stunned with the Predators organization trading away Weber after you matched the blockbuster deal that the Flyers had offered him. What do you want to say to those fans?

GM EvilAsh: After losing Ryan Suter it was extremely hard to trade Shea. He meant so much to our organization and he will mean so much to the Rangers. Once we had time to sit down and examine how that contract was going to effect the future of our club we realized keeping him under that contract wasn't possible. We also knew other teams were going to be offering substantial talent to acquire him because they knew of the bind we were in. If we just let him go to Philadelphia we lost Shea and we also lost all his trade value. We acquired an amazing forward in Gaborik who will defiantly add some much needed scoring & Marc Staal will step in to lead our Defensive squad.

FST: Who do you think your main competitors are in the West right now?

GM EvilAsh: The Blue Jackets seem to have done some major moves over the past week. I think they will be off to a good start out of the gate. It seems the Kings are poised to defend their championship. I now know the fears of the eastern teams in terms of finding a way to stop Malkin.

FST: Any more moves we can be looking forward to in the Predators future?

GM EvilAsh: Well were always looking for a way to improve our team. As of right now I'm happy and confident that our team can compete with the best in the NHL. Most of our players are learning some kind of 45 degree angle skating technique that they didn't know last year. I saw Pekka Rinne stopping pucks this morning with parts of his body that didn't even move last year! Best of all our players just learned how to skate backwards with the puck!! It's going to be a fun year!

FST: Thank you and good luck this season.

GM EvilAsh: Thanks.

Following the trend - I'm 23.

I just scooped up the game - will update my roster later in the trade thread. Feel free to reach out to me when I do so. If anyone wants to play, ClownBaby166.

GM mode online basically. You run the show with your team against 29 other GM's.

Good game, thought I had you at the start with the quick 2-0 lead The one thing I'm having problems with is the lack of vision control, I know it's in the game but it has been changed. I almost always play defence in OTP games and have relied on squaring my player up to the play in front of me. This year it seems to turn my player away from the rush leaving him in the dust. Other than that I'm really enjoying this years game.

I have PM's all NON-POSTED rosters and their respective GM's - if not posted I will remove them from the league.

Thanks for the patience.
