Good signing here for Chicago. Thought Detroit might have signed him to address their glaring need on defense.

If he is such a good C, why did they trade for Sutter?

Hawks need a 2nd line C, nothing else.

Thats 5 posts with zero constructive criticism.

Lets see..
2011-12 - 89 faceoffs total
2010-11 - 60
2009-10 - 64

Didn't 1 or 2 of Malkin, Crosby, Staal miss a lot of time during these 3 seasons? So why wasnt Kennedy playing the role of C that you guys claim he is?

Because they see Talbot/Adams/Letestu/Vitale as better at the dot which says a lot about us even considering Kennedy at 2C.

What are you guys looking for, Hammer for a legit 2nd line center or a good 3rd line center and move Bolland up?

Probably a decent center who can be slotted with Sharp/Hossa and do well. Maybe a younger prospect without much experience, someone coming off of injuries, etc. The truth is, I don't know if a trade for a C is in the works. This could be for more depth or maybe even a trade for a goalie or a solid winger. I don't see Bolland moving up because of his much needed checking role.

I really miss the Old Blackhawks, when they were stacked, now its all whatever they can get... and training camp invites, but they have some good prospects up and coming.

I'm sorry, are we still talking about Sheldon Brookbank? #7 defenseman is his best role. "Too costly" is understandable, but "too good" is a little absurd.

You'd be better off with Brett Lebda. And I don't mean that in a pejorative or hyperbolic sense; Lebda legitimately did a better overall defensive job than Brookbank last year in what amounted to a similar role.

Really hope the habs snag one of Chicago's surplus d-men. We could really use another solid dependable NHL caliber d-man. Would love Hjalmarsson.
