Awesome! With Mckegg and Carrick graduating this makes him and Percy the current captains among Leafs prospects.

Good stuff.

Support the OHL! Its the primary source of talent for the NHL and the best junior league on earth. To call yourself and a hockey fan and live in the GTA without embracing it is downright negligent.

Go Gens!
Go Knights!

Getting in the 'how long before he replaces Phaneuf with the C on the big club' post.

The third-year defenceman will be supported by three Assistant Captains, Zack Mitchell, Brock McGinn and Ryan Horvat.
Are alternate and assistant just used interchangeably?

In my experience, yeah, but it's technically alternate.

I doubt your name for Kadri will last long.

You change the way you spell his name every other post.

I thought Finn's scouting profile mentioned his leadership somewhere? I might be mistaken though.

Matt Finn is unreal. Had him in my top 15 and over Ceci. Now he's a captain!

Im getting the same feeling with Finn that I got with Blacker:

From the moment he was drafted it just feels like hes going to be a solid player. Theres just no question. No wondering.

Good for him. Hope he shows a little more this year in the way of game changing ability. He has good tools, but he's certainly NOT a guy you look to when the game is on the line, from the back end.

I hope he establishes that this year.

I hope he works on his shot, I don't think we have many in our defense prospect that has a blistering shot from the point. Not that I know of atleast.

You have to be kidding, just as soon I actually agreed with you earlier this week, I couldn't disagree with you more.

Finn is not going to go out there and rush the puck end to end, it's not his game. He's a game changer in that he makes subtle, smart plays, and plays safe minutes. That in itself is a game changer on this defence.
