Is that when Steeves' is expected back?

And what happened in the Ottawa game ? Dirty play/hit I'm assuming??

You are going by Steeves' best wishes on twitter.

He will rehab as long as his doctor tells him to do so....

6-8 months was the first diagnosis.

Steeves' doctors told him that the surgery went better than expected, and he should be back much sooner than originally expected. Steeves said that he should be back by Christmas.

As for Soumakis, it was up against the boards most of the way down the ice from where we were sitting, so I didn't get the greatest view of it. There was a big hit followed by a scuffle. Soumakis went off and we didn't see him for the rest of the game.

And you're only basing that on the first diagnosis (i.e. before he even had the surgery).

Doctors are real pessimists in Gatineau. Last season when Hyka was hit by Richer, he was supposedly out for a long time... came back after 2-3 games.

Well, to be fair, speculation got the better of us on that one.

Rumours swirled that he had a serious knee injury, because Groulx kept making a slashing gesture at his knee while was yelling at the ref. This was right before the poubelle came out...

He's actually smaller! Mind you, he's in better shape this year. He lost a fair bit of weight, but I think he can actually hit harder now! If he's any taller, I haven't heard about it. He walked by with Boily on Saturday, and Boily still had about a foot on him.

He has a concussion though.

Maybe I should actually make a prediction...

Again, divided primarily into tiers, although loosely in the order I predict.

Val-d'Or
Moncton

Baie-Comeau
Rimouski
Bathurst

Saint John
Chicoutimi
Rouyn-Noranda
Victoriaville

PEI
Cape Breton
Sherbrooke
Shawinigan
Drummondville

Victo are in a transitionn season , don't think they'll finish top 10. Also Gatineau will finish much better ,imo.

My official 2012-2013 predictions (based on regular season points):

1. Halifax
2. Moncton
3. Boisriand
4. Quebec
5. Gatineau
6. Val D'or
7. Bathurst
8. Rimouski
9. Baie-Comeau
10. Rouyn-Noranda
11. Victoraville
12. Cape Breton
13. Chicoutimi
14. Drummondville
15. Saint John
16. PEI
17. Sherbrooke
18. Shawinigan

* I think Halifax and Moncton will finish 1st and 2nd in points because they have a much weaker division. They'll pick up points easier against weaker teams like PEI, Saint John, Cape Breton.

That's pretty optimistic given your goaltending situation. When is Marcoux coming back? I can't see you finishing first if Phaneuf and Noonan are your only two goalies for an extended period of time.

I think whoever wins our division will finish third for the same sort of reason. The Olympiques, Armada, and Foreurs are going to spend the season hammering away at each other, splitting points between them, and then we'll all get to beat up on Drummondville, Sherbrooke and (to a lesser extent) Rouyn-Noranda.

Well were 5-6 games into the season and some surprises for sure. Moncton, Gatineau and Val D'or have been underachievers thus far. Saint John , PEI and certainly turning heads after their strong starts.Sherbrooke have been horrid, not only not scoring even a goal per game and they havn't been able to keep the puck out of the net having 31 goals against in 5 games !! Still very early , 63 games left to be played. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

This can be done every year, but these things when we look back are quite ... funny/off. lol. There's plenty of unexpected and overachieving teams/players that no one would have predicted, but for ***** and giggles ...

A lot of people had them in the bottom two playoff spots or out entirely ... So yes they did surprise.

Wasn't outlandish at all, in fact he got exactly that.

Again a lot of overreaction to statements and things we can't defend. There's plenty more out there, but this was fun enough... I'm done embarrassing people/bringing back memories
