If not for Fleury being a sieve, I would have been demolished. The poke checks are absolutely insane. Nearly impossible to break out against Crosby or Malkin, and of course one was on the ice all game.

Yeah, this was my problem with them as well. The combination of their inflated attributes and his skill--that was by far my worst game so far. LOL.
Decided to play a random versus match, pretty much even play up three minutes into the game when the other team got a penalty and while the delayed penalty was going on I started to "dominate" and after the Sharks finally touched the puck the guy quit. The score was 0-0 four minutes into the game, i'll take the win but jeeze.
I can't score a go-ahead goal in a vs. match without the ***** on the other side quitting. Play the whole game with a 2-0 lead, and quit after I score three unanswered goals in the 3rd... seems legit.

Definitely a fun game. Fluery definitely **** the bed. I counted 2 unscreened wristers from the top of the circle beating him clean. Seems to be a common thing in NHL 13. Going to have to adjust somehow.
EDIT: Also in a versus match playing as the Flyers Bryz let in a shot from mid ice that bounced over his pad. Was extremely amusing.

In two nailbiters, the Coyotes and Stars split the home-home series. The Stars won an exciting shootout on the stick of ageless wonder Jaromir Jagr. The game went down to the wire as the Stars scored with 5 minutes left in the 3rd period on a gaffe by NHL defenseman Derek Morris, who scored on his own net.
The Coyotes won the second game outright 5-3 on some iffy goaltending from both Mike Smith and Kari Lehtonen. Shane Doan had a goal and an assist. The Coyotes are now 2nd in the Western Conference with 3 points.
