Really, the numbers getting diced down makes things look really pathetic. Both sides scratching and clawing at every % they can get while turning to the media right after pointing the finger at the other guy. Neither side should realistically speak to the media because they sound out of touch with the fans.
They do sound out of touch, but apparently they don't care. Even the most likable and media savvy players are coming off sounding greedier than Scrooge McDuck, saying that the fans don't enter into it because the players need to secure their own futures and feed their families. Forgive me if I think that stuff rings incredibly hollow.

Unfortunately, I think they could be that stubborn. Fehr's in charge, and he's got the "we don't negotiate with terrorists" mentality. Never bodes well.

Nov. 6. Allows a period to redo the schedule open camps and open up the season with the black friday NBC game. Also save 24/7 and most importantly the 100,000 seat Winter Classic. A complete cash cow nither the owner nor the players are going to give up.

I wanna change my original date cause I have a bad feeling, but hopefully it is October 5th. With the regular season probably starting a month later.
I have a feeling if it's solved in early November then the regular season won't start till about 6 weeks later around Christmas!
hence my nov 15 date.....2 months from now, by that time both sides HAVE to realize that something needs to be done and compromise (no **** huh)....saves the season, a fresh start around new years by the time schedules are set. then devils rip through the playoffs and hoist! both the cup and a big middle finger to the league.
