Salary costs are too high!!!!!!!!!111111111

We must be close to 100 M spent this week alone.

Good signing by Dallas though...but really, this is just more ammo for the PA.

Very good deal for the Stars if Lehtonen stays as healthy as he has been during his stretch with them. Lehtonen has the talent to be one of the best goalies in the league but with the Trashers he just couldn't stay healthy.

Doesnt make sense... why do owners scream players make to much and demand roll backs.. couldnt this contract have waited until the CBA negotiations were over? Or was it negotiated with the belief a significant amount will be given back?

Lehtonen is a legit top 10 goalie when he is healthy..same goes for Hiller. Worth it if he stays healthy.

"Owners are signing players to play for their hockey teams? Hahaha I guess they were lying when they said teams are struggling financially!"

One of my all time faves. Met him out and was a class act. Good for him.

And they blame the players for the lockout... what an overpayment.

I expect the same type of contract for Hiller in 2 years. Good signing for both sides. Maybe a little too much but nothing crazy.

Awesome deal for the Stars. One of my favorite goalies in the NHL and very underrated, IMO.

That seems like too much commitment for a goalie with his injury history.

I thought WOW cos I missed the 2 at the front for a second. Now I'm unsure how I feel about it, goalie has been great, not elite, will probably spend at least a quarter of this deal on LTIR.

He's been a horse for awhile, can't hold the past over him forever.

Cap hit of almost 6 mil? A little expensive, but not too bad.

This. He's played 128 games in the last two seasons with Dallas.

2 seasons isn't really a lot after 3 injury plagued ones and recent knee injury at the WC's.

I was really hoping the Hawks would snag him some time before next season.

Good signing.

Why is this league locking out the players tomorrow night? What a joke. McKenzie a few minutes ago tweeted more deals will be announced today.

Where's the money coming from? Listen to Bettman -- there is no money -- all the teams are in dire straights.

Why are teams rushing to sign these players when they'll be able to pay them less under the new cap. The UFA restrictions will be tighter as well.

Owners make stupid moves signing players for large amounts and then blame the players.

The owners will find a way to overpay....

I don't get why any team, or any player would sign a long term deal with the potential for rollbacks to happen or not to happen. Assuming the players are signing the contracts with the idea that the owners will actually honour them. While the owners are hoping for a 20% rollback so they have a player for cheap long term and with nothing the player can do about it.
