Aye, so do I. And I have watched him in Montreal his whole career. He is essentially a more consistent and physical version of Raymond. Frankly, I think he would work with Kesler simply because he can muscle his way around, whereas Raymond gets destroyed just thinking about it.

Of course, if we get Doan. Neither Mayray or AK would have a spot.

The only real change for a UFA would likely be term restrictions preventing career-long deals, which obviously doesn't apply to any of the remaining UFAs. If anything, Doan would want more time to sign a deal since he's waiting for the ownership to be in place.
Isn't he still eligible for a "signing bonus" this year (whether there's a season or not)?

Apparently he's to be signing with Chelyabinsk in the KHL. It's too bad.

1/2 hour to go, after that might as well shut down this forum till the lock-out is over.

Well as long as this thread is still going I can't help but bump my own post from yesterday.

Couldn't be more excited to have him locked up for 4 more years.

For being such a crappy current agreement (apparently), there sure are a lot of players and owners/GMs willing to work their butts off to get lots of deals done before the agreement expires...

But I know it's a case of the small markets that are losing money holding the rest of the teams hostage, more-less. Not sure if Minny would qualify as one of them, but after their spending spree, they better hell not be.
