It was J.P Dumont.

I think that Nashville hit was pretty much where he stopped throwing dirty hits. Since then, he pulled Keith's hair and bit a finger. He's not dirty.

Awesome contract for what Burrows brings. Hate playing against him as an Av fan but don't deny that I would kill to have him on our team.

Seems about right for what he brings to the table.

Good price for a player like Burrows, and 4 years is a perfect term for the Nucks too (he has shown zero signs of slowing down so far, but he is 31 years old). He was set to become a UFA at the end of next season, he's a legit top 6 player in terms of his offense, he hustles like mad, he's one of the better defensive wingers in the league, he's pretty physical, and he agitates like few others can. He's a high impact player, I'm sure the Nucks are very happy to have him locked up at a reasonable price and term.

Edit: side note, with this contract he'll still have made not that much more money than Jeff Finger. This is easily Burrows' largest contract (in previous seasons he was making anywhere from 0.45 mil to 2 mil), and it's still not that much more than Finger's biggest contract (4 years, $4.5 mil per year for Burrows vs. 4 years, $3.5 mil per year for Finger). Pretty crazy that one of the better players on one of the best teams in the league has similar career earnings to a borderline AHL/NHL player on one of the worst teams in the league. Being a great player is the most certain way to earn good money, but sometimes taking advantage of a senile GM is all that's needed

Perfect. Burr gets paid a bit finally and the length/cap are just right. Even if the cap falls, he brings so much to the table it would still be worth it.

Very good price for Burrows. He does it all for the Canucks, even if he's a hated agitator.

Perfect length as well. Good job by the Canucks GM.

He would've cleaned up in free agency. This is a great contract for the Canucks.
This pretty much sums it up. Burrows can play on any line and contribute. One of the best players in the league at retrieving loose pucks. Very nice signing for the Canucks.

So you think he would have only got $4.5 million on the open market? If not, then it is by definition a deal.

Don't forget RFA vs UFA years.

He was RFA right? Does this eat any UFA years?

It was an extension. He was set to become a UFA next offseason.

He's 31 years old, definitely not a RFA.

He played his first NHL game during the 2005-06 season. He has more career goals than all but 3 of the forwards taken in the first round of the 1999 draft, the year in which he was first eligible for the draft.

Does Gilman really need to wear two ballin' watches to a business meeting? This must be why people think our front office is arrogant..
