Are we doing anything about players that are Free Agents but are still on their respective teams (Brunette, Doan, Kostitsyn, etc.)?

Also, can I sign Roszival since he was recently signed by Chicago or is that not fair?

Hey guys, I'm still looking to get into or start an EASHL club. Let me know if anyone is interested / has an opening on a somewhat legit team!

I can give him to you. As long as everyone else is game with being realistic.

I just don't want Chris Pronger & Marc Savard floating around in the league.

I didn't even realize he was still on Phoenix in game. We can leave it up to the commish. It's not a big deal, I was just curious about this situation.

EDIT: I guess contracts would be an issue here. Unless there's a way to get him to FA without you having to use a buyout, which would be unfair to you.

You could always hand me Bolland to even out the contracts.

We'll get it sorted out. I'm not gonna screw you over. I'll ask Monty about it then.

What position do you play? My club plays 6s. Are you down with 6s?

As long as I don't have to play goalie, I'm cool playing wherever. If you need an extra send me a friend invite

My club is looking for a LD or a G.

As far as players contracts and which team they belong to, I'm not sure how we should tackle that. Since they're on "false" contracts, it's going to screw with a lot of things. Is the team he's supposed to be on able to carry his contract without going over their roster limit or salary cap. Just the fact that a player like Doan is signed to I think his same 4.5 million dollar contract... well, what if he signs with Vancouver today for 4 million, or even 5 million. If the GM of the team he's actually going to play for in the NHL wants him, is it going to be on a better deal than he's really signed for, or a worse one?

There's just a lot of "what if's" and trickle down effects that take place if we try and put each player on the roster they're supposed to be on. I was talking to Ominous yesterday and as far as I can see, I don't think you're able to buyout and release players, so it's going to make things complicated. It's definitely not a decision for one person to make - it's gotta be a collective agreement of how we handle the situation.

Yeah, all these issues are making me reconsider if I even want to participate in this. Seems like GM Connected is too unpolished and buggy, and might be more trouble than it's worth.

I don't think it's this serious. I mean the biggest problem we're facing is whether to keep Doan on Phoenix. I don't care about Roszival really. I was just wondering what we could do about him. Maybe the simplest, most effective solution is just going with the rosters we have.

It's not just the little roster stuff. There are apparently quite a lot of issues. Here's a thread on the EA forums:

Welp looks like Doan is staying on Phoenix.

Meh, the way I look at it, the basics are there. It's worth a shot. If it fails, it fails. I think it'll be fun regardless of those issues.

I wonder when we should set the cut-off date at?

There are 18 registered, last I checked. We can't wait around forever, and I'm itching to get underway.

Same here. I really wanna see how my roster plays. Btw, Ominous, did you ever respond to our trade talks from the other day?
