I think the Barons were missing that dimension a bit in the playoffs. The Marlies were quite good at that and it showed in the conference finals.
We saw what shot blocking did for the Rangers, you can never have enough of it. Hopefully it wears off on some of the others.

I don't know if it's for real since Green said he wasn't coming back to the Oil last week. But hey, I guess he meant he's still coming back to OKC? haha.

Done deal. Back to #OKC. Pretty pumped!
Anyways, I'd like it if he stayed in OKC this year. Sounds like a great leader from what I hear.

Very nice! Yeah, they needed to keep one of Keller or Green for leadership.

Now it's time to get Plante and Vande Velde signed!

My slim and none comment was with regards to signing with the Oilers. This is an AHL deal only. Only place I wanted to sign in the minors

Oh wow, this is really good news. Nice big body that can play top 6 and it doesn't cost us roster spot.

Yeah good news to have Green back. Now if they just sign a veteran Dman. I would be pretty happy with the line up heading into the season.

I tweeted Green about his slim and none comment and he replied a few minutes later with that tweet above.

Having Green on an AHL contract is perfect. He was pretty bad at the NHL level, but obviously provides leadership and some scoring ability at the AHL level.

The Barons are not coming to Edmonton to play a couple of games for the 2012-2013 season, despite what Terry Jones "reported" back in January/February.

Not sure why they would to be honest. Maybe if there is a lockout it makes a bit of sense.

So it begins... Eberle, RHN, and 24 others assigned to OKC

Hall should be assigned to once he's considered 100% healthy.

till then:

MPS - RNH - Eberle
Byers - Arcobello - Pitlick
Cornet - Lander - Hartikainen
Hamilton - Vande Velde - House

Tyrvainen/Abney/Pelss/Martindale and Toni friggen Rajala?

Tuebert - Schultz
Fedun - Marincin
Plante - Davidson

Danis/Roy/Bunz

edit: forgot Green, yeesh.
