I currently live in Medicine Hat, and am considering taking a trip down to Lethbridge for a day to see what the city has to offer. Just wanna get out of the Hat, and Lethbridge is half the distance that Calgary is. Anybody got any recommendations as to things to do, places to see, food to eat, etc?
Check out the Japanese Gardens while the weather is still nice. As for checking stuff out... There isn't very much else, food wise we have an IHOP (Calgary doesn't have one... yet) and there is Rick's Grill in the old Water Tower, but that's pretty expensive I heard. Otherwise, bunch of the usual chains and so on, not sure of much else though. Being a student, I don't usually check out the restaurants all that much.
The real stuff to check out is out of town, like Crowsnest Pass, Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, The Franklin Slide and Waterton, but those are all about an hour or more from town.
