Upcoming Interview with Dwight Helminen

Once again I am polling the loyal HF readership to send in your questions in regards to one of the Oilers' brightest prospects...

Michigan Wolverines forward Dwight Helminen.

I will be talking to Dwight on Monday Dec. 8 at about noon time so you have until then to get your questions in!

Don't let me down.

How did you feel when you found out that the Oilers drafted you?

Apparently, it would seem his size was the cause of a relatively late drafting number. Is it encouraging to see that the size of the centers on the Oilers are all relalively small? Hopefully, he can end up being one of those players that all the other teams kick themselves for passing up.

How special is it to be connected with both notable outdoor games.

Man you guys are killing me here... this was one of the guys you requested frequently back in the summer!

There must be some people out there who have some specific questions for Dwight! No?

It's hard for some of us...

I mean I have seen Stortini play a lot, so when you asked for questions about him, they just popped in my head.... and as weird as it sounds, I don't know enough about him to ask questions....

But I have never turned down an invite to talk.

What aspect of your game would be most beneficial to the Oilers?
What areas do you need to improve on?
Was the CHL ever an option for you?
follow up: why or why not?
What are you personal goals for this year (either statistically or developmentally)?
Are you at school simply to play hockey, or was hockey a way into school that you plan to take full advantage of?

What do you think is the cause of your slower start to this year?
Also, what's the cause of the team's slower start?
Are you trying to fill the leadership void left by Jed Ortmeyer on this year's team?
The penalty killing has gotten significantly worse and you're one of the top PK guys on Michigan's team... are there breakdowns occuring or is it just a matter of the puck bouncing differently?
Do you think the NHL should adopt no-touch icing and remove the two line pass?
Have you and Jeff Tambellini raced? Who's faster? Seriously.
Tell us some interesting things about David Rohlfs.
