I thought 6 was much better than 5. The whole religious theme along with the over-arching theme of Good vs. Evil of the entire show just made sense. Not the biggest fan of Colin Hanks, but the story was great.
Season 5 "sucked" because 4 was so unbelievably good it was impossible to top, imo.
Man, so undecided on whether or not to watch the trailer... Normally I don't mind spoilers for the most part, but actually holding off for now. Although I'm sure after a few beers I'll cave and watch it later tonight.
Pumped for this season. Glad it sounds like they won't be straying from the Bay Harbor Butcher connections...
I truly enjoy this show. It looks like they will finally be going into areas I have been waiting for.
Does anybody else think it likely that Matthews knows about Dexter and has known since Harry was alive? The odds seem infinitesimal that he would not notice the similarities between the ice truck killer and the Bay Harbor butcher. Both had a similar method of dismemberment. We later learned that Matthews knew they were brothers and covered it up. For heavens sake, Matthews had to have a flag pop up in his head when he realized the killer kept blood slide trophies and was from Dexter's building.
Matthews was an old school cop in Harry's mold, mentality, and also a close friend. It is entirely possible he is aware and silently approves, or at least, for Harry, turns a blind eye since Dexter only targets killers.
Laguerta certainly is going to put 2 and 2 together. Her picking up the bloodslide in that preview sold me on that. She never believed Doakes was guilty even in the face of overwhelming evidence and is relentless in sniffing out suspicions (She showed us that with Miguel)
Looking forward to it but I'm going to stay away from the thread this season. It definitely would have taken my ignorant ass a bit longer to notice the big surprise from last season than some of you did. That kind of spoiled things for me a bit. Would have liked to have seen if I noticed it before they told us.
