I suppose he'd almost definitely play in Europe unless there was some reason he couldn't, but is Diaz someone that can be sent down without waivers?

Where did you hear that? He's making the jump to Hamilton this year.

Beaulieu is turning pro this year, there's no way he's returning to St John.

People have said he could be going back to junior. I am just saying it might happen, yes he could easily be going to Hamilton but St. John Sea Dogs are a choice aswell. I would like to see him in Hamilton but we cant guarantee that. The rest of the players on the list are guaranteed to be in AHL. (Bournival, Tinordi, Ellis etc)

He's listed on eliteprospects and starting the year in Hamilton, and he also mentions taking the step up to pro here:

Starting at the 56 second mark

LOL Nathan Beaulieu has about a snowball's chance in hell of returning to Junior. 'You' does not equate to 'basically everyone'. In fact, I haven't come across anyone who doesn't feel Beaulieu will be in Hamilton, except you.

I was excited to watch the dogs this year but now with all the young talent down there they will not be stacked.

Is it me or did everybody forget Andrew Conboy in their line-ups? Unless something happened that I wasn't aware of?

Man will the AHL be fun to watch with all these young talents, Oiler's farm team will dominate too.
Guess all those 1st overall picks are finally paying up for them, (Calder) Cup contenders?

question on procedure... can a player on a 2 way that does have to clear waivers have to go down if for whatever reason they do not want to? also if a guy on a 2-way who needs to clear waivers (like Palushaj), agrees to go, does he automatically go back to the big club were the lockout to end.. and then would clear waivers were he to be cut in camp? Meaing does he sacrifice his waiver rights buy agreeing to an interim AHL contract?

People say all kinds of crazy stuff. Doesn't mean you should swallow it.

He's going to Hamilton.

He didn't receive a qualifying offer this summer.

just like all of them you listed, Beaulieu is an overager if returned, but they are all eligible.

so gallagher, Bealieu, ellis, Bournival, Holland all stands the same chances of returning junior, see close to zero, as it wiouldn't be good for any of them.

I think you are correct, AHL contract = no re-entry waivers once training camp starts for guys with 3+ years pro like Palushaj, Desjardins, etc.

They will be stacked with interesting prospects but hard to say how they will all gel with such a young team. Should be fun to watch though.

Not to mention our G won't be so bad either. I don't think habs will have the star power up front but I think we'll be competitive.
The D is going to be made up almost entirely of 1st or 2nd year players though, so while the talent should be there, it's hard to say how quickly they will adjust.

As long as Desjardins doesn't opt to sign overseas, cause without him the Dogs are in big trouble.

The Habs almost never send draft picks back to the CHL as overagers. The last time they did that was Christian Larrivee ('00, 4th round) so you can bet that's there's almost zero chance of Beaulieu going back to the Q.
