Another 3 point night for Jaskin. Veilleux had 2 goals. I hope I have been wrong about Jaskin. Seems like he has a fire in his behind. Hope it continues.

Jaskins's a 19 yr old playing in a Jr league of primarily 16-19 yr olds this season whereas he was a 17-18 yr old playing anainst grown men in the Czech's top pro league the last 2 years. I expect him to have really good numbers this season. He should also be a top player for the Czech's in the WJC.

I, too, am expecting Jaskin to pile up points against junior-aged players, especially in The Q, as that league plays looser on defence than The WHL or OHL. Jaskin should be one of Moncton's "go to" forwards. Whereas, in his Czech pro league, he was one of the lesser forwards on his team.

Two more points for Jaskin. Another goal for Villeaux. Player to keep an eye on Ivan Barbashev. Would be shocked if the Blues drafted him this year. (Tend to snag players in the mid to late round from teams that they scout heavily - ie those with already drafted players).

Barbashev is one of the top prospects for 2014, not 2013.

Jori Lehterä seems to be in great form for Sibir so far. He had 1+4 in 5-3 win and leads all scorers in KHL.

Lehterä 6gp 4g 8a 12p 2.00ppg

I know six games isn`t enough to predict anything but I have said all along this guy should definately be playing in the NHL.

Lehterä also completed the Gordie Howe hat trick:

Hakanpää also opened his goal tally on Friday against HIFK, scored the game winner while shorthanded in a 2-0 win (1:00 mark):

Lehterä should play wherever he wants to play. I am over him. If he never comes over, then so be it. If he comes over, then so be it. I stopped caring about it.

Wow. That's a small sample size but a damn good start none the less! If I end up being wrong about him and he can keep that up and become a quality NHLer afterall, nobody will be happier about it than I.

So since the NHL is having a lockout and the KHL is the 2nd best league does this mean Lehterä is currently the top player of the best league in the world?

All the canadian junior leagues started this week-end, Jaskin didn't registered any point in his first game but got 2 goals in his second game. I also noticed on the scoresheet that he registered 9 shots on goal! Veilleux got 1 pass in those two games. Those two play for Mocton.

Rattie didn't collect any points in two games, noticed he got a match penalty in second period of the second game. He missed the third game of his team (Portland) tonight because he was suspended for that game.

Joel Edmundson got also a match penalty in his second game. (Moose Jaw)

Tyrel Seaman registered 2 goals ans 1 assist in his second game after not collecting a point in the first game.

Nick Walters got 1 assist in two games for Everett.

Binnington got two wins in two starts for Owen Sound. Also had a great save%.

Ryan Tesink got 1 assist and a fight in two games for the Sea Dogs. It's the first time in like three years that they aren't a powerhouse.

Am I forgetting somebody playing in the CHL?

At least we have some hockey to follow and more as Peoria and college hockey get cranked up.

Yes... 2012 draftee Francois Tremblay (G, Val-d'Or/QMJHL), who has a win and a loss, a 2.88 GAA and an 89.8% save percentage in two games.

You can find all the prospect stat info you need every Sunday at "St. Louis Game Time."

I found this postworthy.

Yannick Veilleux weighed in at 6'02" and 208 lbs.

Sounds like him and Oshie can exchange some fun college stories.

This shouldn't surprise Blues fans who were around during Oshie's upbringing. Simply how they do it @ UND (or in college anywhere, for that matter). I'm (and I imagine most of us would agree) fortunate to not have been a celebrity during my first semester of college. See my handle?

Not all that concerned as long as it doesn't become a repeated action. College students drink. Freshmen usually don't know how to handle it, or when to stop. I don't like it, but Toews and Oshie turned out just fine.

Especially since it's early in the semester, and not during season. As a freshman in college this year, I can understand how things may have gotten a little bit out of hand, and I'm in season (soccer).

Kids party in college, not a big deal at all. It would be weird if they weren't partying.
