Hemsky signs with Pardubice

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod
Oilers winger Ales Hemsky has a deal with Pardubice in the Czech League (his father is GM). He's expected to join the team next week.

Looks like they also signed Krejci. Could be a good duo for the Czech league.

He had a career year in the NHL with 77 points after spending the last lockout in Pardubice. Lets hope the same thing happens this time around.

Maybe Krejci will have so much fun playing with Hemmer he demands a trade to EDM and is out new 1B Centre.

Hall-Krejci-Hemsky

That would be nice.. but doubt Boston would move Krejci.

But its good to see most of our top players will be playing somewhere this year. Curious if fellow Czech Laddy Smid will follow Hemsky and play in the Czech this year as well.

Krejci is exactly the kind of guy they can afford to lose with Seguin and Bergeron also at C. If the cap goes down or something like that, I could definitely see them moving him.

I dont think Boston is in any hurry to take Seguin off the wing. And as much as I'd like to, I can't see a trade that works for both teams that would send Krejci here.

Will be dynamic for sure. Hopefully Hemmer can convince his dad to throw some money Smid's way as well.

Weren't we in a playoff spot for about a month last year? Maybe this gets settled in February and then we're a lock

we were first in the western conference at the end of October I believe. I'd be down for a one month season

I heard Spector comment something on Smid earlier on his show.. something about him playing in the Czech.. but I only caught the tail end of it. Anybody catch that?

while he is at it.. he can try and get Yakupov playing on his team(line) and start developing some magic.

If he can get anywhere near a PPG, like say 0.80PPG or <, then I will be super excited to see him again with the Oilers when the lockout ends!

Ahhh who am I kidding... I'll be super excited to see him on the Oilers again when the lockout ends no matter what

Hopefully this will be good for Hemsky. Get back into the swing of things in an easier league, in his home country, with his family close by.

He's my favorite Oiler, and i'm fully expecting a bounce back year from him. too talented not to

Hemsky will be great, book it. Too much talent not too. Krecji on the Oilers would be awesome to see.

Hall RNH Eberle
Hemsky Krecji Yakupov

This line-up will get slaughtered in the play-offs by the bigger, more physical teams.

Detroit always had a few bigger guys with top 6 skill-set: Franzen, Holmstrom, Samuelsson, Hossa etc.

Then what would your propose top 6 be?

Hall, Eberle, RNH, Hemsky, Yakupov are the given top 6. Hemsky is going no where and we need a 2C. Don`t tell me Hemsky will be gone because he`s gonna re-up this coming summer after he breaks out. Hemsky better get his 5yr deal.

None of whom (maybe Franzen, maybe) are remotely physical or intimidating to play against in terms of nastiness. They roast competition with creativity, pure drive and skill.

I bet you If the Oilers iced a top 6 like that they would absolutely dominate for stretches, while get bullied at other times. Not every team in the league is like the Bruins, Blues or Kings. Besides none of those guys are *******. They're tough enough. 5 man units and grit in your bottom six, good to go.

Sounds like Smid is talking with his youth team, Bili Tygri Liberec.
