Players assigned to Hamilton are forwards Alexander Avtsin, Alain Berger, Michael Blunden, MichaŽl Bournival, Gabriel Dumont, Brendan Gallagher, Blake Geoffrion, Patrick Holland, Louis Leblanc, Philippe Lefebvre, Joonas Nattinen, Steven Quailer and Ian Schultz; defensemen Nathan Beaulieu, Morgan Ellis, Brendon Nash, Greg Pateryn, Joe Stejskal and Jarred Tinordi, as well as goaltenders Peter Delmas and Robert Mayer.
Who are they? I can't see NHL.com related sites at work.

With such a solid defense filled up with gros bonhommes its gonna be a tough team to play against in there. The top6 is well balanced, Blunden, Palushaj and Geoffrion are good veterans (for an AHL team) while Gallagher and Leblanc should have a field day offensively (hopefully they develop good chemistry with each other). Desjardins is a good goalie as well.
Its going to be a good year for our prospects.

They could sign him to an AHL contract no? I don't know why he'd do it, but thats one way he could play. It would be a nice occasion for him to show his offensive skill by being the first line center a key player.
If there's one thing that's nice, it's that all our young players will get a chance to take on bigger roles for the length of the lockout - I was worried that players like Leblanc would get called up early on and not get as much of a chance to develop offensively.
Were we the only team to send players down? If so it will be a strong team. If not, then there are other teams with better prospects/players than us, that will also probably want to send their guys down to condition during the lockout.
