Anybody else get the Black Mesa Half-Life 1 remake? It's free and really awesome. I applaud that group of people making the game over the past 8 years.
Scored three my first time but couldn't get the fourth
Then 5 or so straight times where I couldn't score at all
Then finally one where I was down 4-0 halfway through the third, scored with Henrique
Then with 3 minutes left scored two back-to-back with Poni
Then Carter gets a lucky bounce off Doughty's skate to tie it with a shorthanded goal with 39 seconds left.
Then in overtime still shorthanded, Jeff Carter gets the puck Brodeur is in perfect position and unscreened. The shot comes and just before it gets there Brodeur moves out of the way for no apparent reason.
All this plus the usual cpu cheese stuff that your player can't do and it was on the lowest difficulty level. Good effing lord. Even if I end up pulling it off I'm never going to try the higher difficulty levels.
On the second level the 4-0 lead probably becomes 14-0 before Thorne can finish saying "Welcome to tonight's game"

Just tried on the second difficulty and for some reason it was way easier.
Had a 5-4 lead by the end of the second.
And a weird glitch in HUT. My home Devils jersey has been replaced with an Islanders jersey. I just sold one of them on the trading block. It shows up as a Devils jersey in my collection, but an Islanders jersey in the selection screen and in the games.
Hey guys I am away at school so I won't be playing NHL 13 until Thanksgiving
But I was just curious about something. I'm very interested in HUT this year since it is more like Fifa (and hopefully they add bronze, silver, and gold tiers next year). I assume the HUT market is beginning to stabilize and I'm just curious how much our guys cost? I would like to make a full Devils squad.
I'm hoping to get some key guys in the starter pack by having the Devs as my favorite team. Getting like a Henrique or Zidlicky would be sweet. But I'm just curious if guys like Kovy, Larsson, Zajac, Brodeur are all super expensive?
what the hell is a tuner set, and why should i d/l it?
It makes adjustments to the game - basically it's a patch to the gameplay. They'll make minor adjustments to skating, shooting, passing, goaltending, player collisions, etc. without you having to do an official "download a patch for the entire game" which takes much longer and requires you to restart your game.
Over time, they change the game pretty drastically. Playing NHL 12's launch day tuner set compared to their last tuner set is like playing two different games.
This is easily the worst NHL game I have ever played. I just can't get into it, its so glitchy and the game just doesn't flow. It's choppy, the goalies are ridiculous.....ahh its not even worth it, the game sucks.
13 is easily the best of the series. It's just that 07-12 were all so similar we got use to a certain arcadey way of playing. Not saying the game is pure sim but it's SO much better now.

This. Once I adjusted to the game play, I like it a lot. I'm just pissed at some small things which should be corrected in the near future. Checking people from behind is way too effective (forgot whether or not you care about how rarely its called as a penalty). I'm also getting a little frustrated with how easy it is to get a breakaway on people. If a guy is at half stride and starts in a straight line from there, he'll blow by everyone and you'll never catch him. The fact that there is no way to ever cut off a guy already moving is getting frustrating, especially when you may be at your blue line and they're behind the red line and still walk in all alone.
As a defenseman who easily shut down talented players in EASHL in NHL 12 without doing much, I really appreciate the challenge of having to take care of how I'm skating. Plus, I love playing with Brian Campbell because of his awesome mobility from the blue line. It really stands out when I'm playing the GM Connected mode as Florida.
I think I'm about half way into the game if you include all the metric ****ton of sidequests, probably more than that, and I think it's safe to say that this is the funniest game ever created. It may be a lot like the first - which I don't view as a negative - but the humour has been amplified a hundredfold. Unfortunately, I feel that people don't listen to the humour when they're playing with three other friends. It's just chaotic fun at that point, but those people are seriously missing out on a really great experience.
And there are a few sad parts. This game is a bit of everything. Oh yeah, and I attempted that Circle of Slaughter with an underleveled friend. I'll be trying it again once I reach Level 25 (I'm at 23 now). It is definitely challenging like the Mad Moxxi DLC.
I can't believe there's a sidequest where someone wants you to shoot him in the face. And it gives you an achievement. ****ing hilarious.
You're joking but the University of Reading has a 3 wall room called the Cave that is pretty much what is in that picture with head tracking and crap graphics.
I actually got to test it out when I went to open day, **** was so cash.
