Leafs Still Practising at MCC

That's our boys!

Kyle Cicerella ‏@KyleTheReporter
There are about 10 Leaf players at MCC today to skate on their own. No access to team room so dressing in public change rooms #Leafs

Kyle Cicerella ‏@KyleTheReporter
Reimer, Komisarek, Phaneuf, Franson and Lombardi just a few of the Leafs who have "rented" the ice today. #Leafs

Kyle Cicerella ‏@KyleTheReporter
Blake Kessel has joined brother Phil for today's skate. Could be quite the group #Leafs

Brown would be throwing his tape at you giving you the stare down.

That's awesome. They mean business this year . Nice to see that they're still practicing with their teammates despite being "fired"

I was just thinking about that. Although I'd gladly take the hit if Elisha Cuthbert paid a visit.

"Leafs Captain joins average Joes for shinny!"

"You hate to see anybody get hurt but Average Joe shouldn't have cut into centre with his head down..." says Leafs Captain.

good. as professionals, they should understand the need to stay on top of their games. especially reimer, komi, lombardi who have had injury issues in the past. keep working boys, it'll pay off!!!

The NHL confirmed today that league-owned ice facilities can be rented by the players, but other facilities, including the gym, changing room, and all that.

Explains the issues that have been on twitter about practicing all day.

I read an article where Clarke hinted that they would rent ice and practice together if there was a lockout. Disappointed that Lupul decided to head back to California to extend his off season rather than join his team mates.

I haven't heard about any other teams doing this. For the record, I've said since last year that I think we have a group of guys that truly do want to win and want to bring hope to Leafs fans. This is an example of that kind of dedication and as a fan, I appreciate that.

Franson, I like you even more now. He doesn't even have a contract and he comes to Toronto to practice during a lockout.

I'd be more concerned "average joe" does something really ****ing stupid, and injures one of our players. So **** you, "average joe".

I gotta good feeling no money was exchanged to 'rent' the ice. Phaneuf is the captain lol. That's like asking Jared to pay for subway.

Agreed 100% with these comments because it would have been very easy for Franson to stay home until he got a new contract and I'm sure the others respect him even more for coming to practice with them.

??? Players working out during a lockout is proof they aren't greedy?

All this proves is that they aren't lazy.
