Devils Rangers game 7 1994

The conclusion to perhaps the greatest playoff series ever

Set on a grand stage in the capital of the world. The Rangers a team that had to win now, trying to end a curse. and up and coming challenger is a franchise on the rise. Tons of great talent up and down the roster.

What really sticks out to me is that there is this guy named Mike Francesa (bit of a blowhard sportstalk show host) he basically doesn't like hockey...and he's been to every event (like 20 super bowls) basically he claims that Rangers/Devils OT game 7 was the tensest sporting event he's ever been. He's never seen a crowd on edge like that. It was surreal...and he can't stand hockey

1. Czech Rep - Canada 1998

2. 1987 Canada-USSR

3. 2002 Red Wings - Avalanche 7-0

Just an honorable mention.

Just for all of you Oilers droolers: the goal at 6.33.

Fyers vs Red Army

I recall this game vividly, as it was the Broadstreet Bullies that was called upon to save face for the NHL, after the Red Army was running rough shod over all the teams in 195/76... Even the mighty Canadians could not beat them (tied at 3)...The best part was that the Flyers not only beat them with skill, but scared the crap out of the Russians, who skated off the ice after a big hit on Kharlamov... The NHL President (Campbell) even went into the dressing room before the games...LOL... People can say what they want but that gave me the most satisfaction and to this day, still chuckle everytime that game comes to mind!!!
