Hi from a Hawks fan - i wasn't sure where to ask this - but i was wondering what you guys thought about Teräväinen so far...how he's doing this year, how he's doing re NHL-readiness, and so on.

i know this is getting a bit out there - but when we got him at #18, it seemed like a gift (no one thought he'd still be there then) - any sense about whether he's currently out-playing his draft position (i know that's a pretty impossible question).

Teuvo and Jokerit has played only 1 game...second today. Maybe we should check situation after 1 month.

It's the schedule.. There is huge expectations for Teuvo this season and hopefully he can take the next step but we have to remember that he is still a kid playing in mens league.

Jokerit has lots of injuries atm plus suspended players/coaches. Tough first month coming for them for sure.

Jokerit still needs an elite dman (for whole season) who can play also physical game if they are considered to be favourites this season.

You mean how? not a star status player?

Lower line forwards and bottom pairing dmen are also looking for jobs...and Kärpät needed somebody fast to replace injured Oscar Eklund (Swede).

Jesse Joensuu's contract is for one year, but will obviously go back to Islanders if the NHL season starts during the season.

Would had been surprised if he didn't sign with his hometown team since both wanted it. So glad.

Dude yes!! I was so disappointed he played for HV71 instead of Assat last year, but this is truly great news. I wonder how he'll fit into the lineup, but either way he'll be a great addition to the team. Guessing he'll fit into the 2nd line since it looks like they're sticking to the Pihlman-Niemi-Armia top unit.

Also you can se "RL" used as shootout.

VL is "winning goal competition" used in SM-Liiga, in other leagues you can see / hear "penalty shootout" used, its RL.

JYP already looking solid and now they get another former Thrasher in Raptor Jesus to spice up the second line.

Very nice signing, but hopefully won't be ready on Friday yet (against Ässät).
