Not when Seabrook is earning 5.8 million per for the next 4 years. Ok, he's everything we need in defense, but at the same time, our offense would pretty ordinary without Stazz.
That may change if Hishon or Sgarbossa transition well, but at present, we need Stazz.
The best line-up I can come up without him is as follows:-
You wouldn't entertain a Stastny-Seabrook discussion?

It's not a question of if I would, but Chicago would. And the answer is most certainly they would not.
The price for Seabrook would be Duchene+ and we're not paying that.
The price for Keith would probably be slightly less, maybe along the Staz+ or Duchy straight up which is closer to what would benefit our club. Gives EJ a solid PMD to partner with and learn from, meanwhile Keith gets a defensive sound partner to cover up for him (much akin to what Seabrook does now).
Keith WAS a Norris winner, but he's been playing like 2nd fiddle to Seabrook for the past 1-1.5 years now. So if we're lucky he'd rebound with EJ or at the very least provide us with an option we're lacking anyways.
His contract is lengthy, but his cap hit is manageable.

Oh, I agree. I thought from your last post that Keith would be the only person on Chicago who you would entertain in a discussion, re: trading Stastny.

I am a fan of Siemens and he brings much needed presence to our system and team. BUT I still stand (since the draft) that we should've taken Bartschi instead.

Meh, who cares? Can't change what you've already picked. If we could do that there are other players I sooner omit than Siemens for Bartschi. For instance,
1. Stoa for Letang
2. Fritsche for Quick
3. Durand for Yandle

You get my drift.
That's funny, I was looking at that same list from 05' yesterday and was thinking the same thing.
