Any connection between the captains suspensions and those of Parks and Senkbeil?
Could be. I also heard there was freshman hazing involved. The NCAA has cracked down on that sort of stuff. This may not be the end to this thing. Time will tell.
My source was right about one player going to the hospital. Yet another black eye to UND and the hockey team. Young kids are going to rip it up we all know that, but with the dangers of binge drinking and possible death this party got way out of hand. The only good thing that can come out of this is the younger guys learned a valuable lesson and they won't let a party get out of hand down the road.

After what happened at Vermont a few years ago, I am not surprised. The school suspended the entire team for a season IIRC.
I can see Gaarder on that 4th line since he did get plenty of ice time last year because of injuries so he may have a jump on the freshies. Love seeing Gleason back on defense. He and MacWilliam should compliment each other with Gleason being the speedy D who can rush the puck and big Mac who will destroy opponents with his bone crushing hits.
Sioux win last night 5-3 over Manitoba but man was it an uninspired effort. Offensively wasn't to bad as they did some good things and Grimaldi is going to be a treat to watch all year. Kid may not of scored but he had 6 shots with 2 off the iron. He reminds me of Oshie with his hands but a bit more quicker. I also liked Cagguila who was on the first line with Kristo and Knight. Defensively the team was not good. To many turnovers in their end and had troubles breaking out. The Bison had way to many odd man rushes and did have 2 clean breakaways that were stopped. Both Saunders and Gothberg looked good in the net although Gothbergs 2nd goal allowed was a bit weak. USA U18 team comes to the Ralph friday and I hope to see much improvement, especially defensively.
Via Twitter, UND got a commitment from 1997 Defenseman Christian Evers. Very nice prospect, big kid. Here's a blurb on Evers from Chris Dilks:
Christian Evers-D-Omaha Lancers U16-Already a huge kid, listed at 6'4", and clearly the top D on a team with a pretty strong defense. Very good hands and feet for a player of his size. Definitely a big time prospect.
