Just won a bidding war for Hemsky but the card stayed white instead of turning green so I couldn't click on it or do anything with it.
Then I back out of the auction house and go back in, thinking it will still be in my watch list AND IT'S GONE!!! SO ARE THE PUCKS I BOUGHT IT WITH!!! Lost nearly 4,000 pucks for nothing.

That happened to me a few times in 11/12. Usually, it just takes a few hours/a day or two to get your pucks back if you lost, so just be patient and it'll probably show up at some point.
Borderlands is probably in my top 5 games...definitely top 10 all time. I've raved about it before, but basically it has the perfect blend of quick gameplay, addictive RPG elements, outstanding characters and writing, beautiful graphics, replayability...basically everything outside the ending.
The add-ons were all great too, adding a solid 5-10 hours per to the game. The original campaign is maybe 15-20 hours, but you can replay it with harder enemies and better weapon drops.
I still haven't come close to 100% on the game even after maybe 100-150 hours. I will say I beat it and all the expansions at least twice each on both Xbox and PS3. And I didn't play through all the characters, only 2 or 3 of them. Not to mention I haven't taken down the extremely (near impossible) final hidden boss.
From the sounds of it, Borderlands 2 is bigger and better, with more varied environments, smarter and tougher enemies, more loot, and a much better story. Can't wait to play it.
I got the platinum on Borderlands, but playing through the expansions was just too much of the game for me. I enjoyed the game to platinum, but more was too much. I can't imagine playing it on PC (although the wife has it) because the game was edging on too easy when you had to aim with a controller. I don't think I'd have any fun playing with a mouse because that would make it far too simple. I'll probably think about getting 2 when it inevitably drops to $40 around Black Friday.
Been doing some of the NHL Moments Live recently and found out you can actually get Pucks (not much) for HUT by completing the Moments. The easiest was completing a shutout with Brian Elliot. You are on the PK for the last 2 minutes of the game and you have to finish the shutout. The Blues PK spent the last 30 seconds of the game in the Preds' zone.
I played through about 3 hours of Borderlands 2 last night, and I love it. It's basically a continuation of the first. Only annoying thing is I still haven't found a fully automatic weapon yet. Overall though a great game.
Just played a great game of NHL 13 before work. It went to triple overtime with no goals (both teams played incredible defense and my team kept taking awful penalties). About 5 minutes left and the center fed me the puck on a 2 on 1 (I was left wing), and I one-timed it in.
I've played some great games in NHL 13 but about an equal number of inexplicably BS ones. I've tried the gamut of difficulty levels and I actually do BETTER the harder it is supposed to be. I don't know, maybe I play worse if I know the computer is supposed to be easier. Right now I'm frustrated with the computer and its amazing hitting. Guy skating behind you with no chance to catch you? Somehow he's hit you hard enough to make you stumble and lose the puck into the goalie. Meanwhile your hits are nothing more than a cool breeze. But this is probably an overcompensation for the fact the AI never uses their stick for anything. You might simply lose the puck to them, but they never poke, stick lift...anything. Just hit hit hit.
I've seen several people complain about "nerfed hitting" but can't say I've had the same experience. It's harder to stay in position and lay a hit, but the hits seem more effective, rather than less, when you land it. After a little adjusting to the skating, I haven't had any trouble landing hits either. Seems to me that hip checks had their radius dropped a touch, but other than that I haven't had much difficulty.
I'm ridiculously hot or cold with goal scoring now though. I always put one goal in a game, but I'll either get exactly one or at least 4.
Just lost a HUT game 4-1. I outshot my opponent 34-10. The whole game was played in his end. This game's randomness is out of this world. I didn't know a game could do this to me. I'm mentally drained, empty.
Entered my Gamestop code for pre-ordering the game by going on to a link on EA's website and got my 6 free Gold packs. The very first one I open has Phil Kessel in it. So ecstatic right now. Can't sell him since he was from a free pack but I was looking for a fast RW anyway so he'll be perfect for my 1st line alongside Matt Duchene (who I got a steal on for 4500 BIN). Opened 3 packs tonight and I'll open the other 3 tomorrow.
