Any young prospect that can afford another year of AHL or CHL hockey
Players who would be battling through injury or are injuired and are unable to play

This too, not Juzmo. It will be interesting to see how many prospects get injected into lineups in the case of a full lockout.
Kovalchuk. He wasn't even a fraction of his former self in the Cup Finals, and it showed. Lou says his back is 100%, but a little extra time can't hurt.
1. They sent down Couturier and Schenn (plus a bunch of other guys they will count on) to play in the AHL. This will give them a ton of minutes that they wouldn't see on the Flyers playing against other professional level players to speed up their development.
2. They also have a bunch of players who were injured and coming off rehab over the summer or weren't going to start the season with Philly (Giroux, Timonen, Mezsaros, Lilja and Pronger).

Timonen could retire and we could never see him play again.
Pronger's done either way.
Young players from Columbus. Gives them another year to develop instead of being rushed.

I see this lockout as an undercover move by the NHL. You see, Big Buff has taken his name too literally, and he was approached by one of Bettman or the Illuminati to suggest hibernation. As soon as he wakes up, the NHL will resume play.
Shea Weber's getting $13 million regardless, from a financial POV.
Playing wise, from a Leafs side, more time in the AHL for Kadri and Colborne certainly doesn't hurt.
On the flip side, guys like Selanne (although who knows really), Alfredsson, etc might not get that last swan song, much like Stevens, Messier, etc from the previous Lockout.
Adam Larsson. The North American style and 82 game schedule caught up to him at the end of the season and into the playoffs. A year in the AHL logging huge minutes, hopefully dominating the lesser competition, will help his conditioning and confidence.
I'm hoping Perron plays with Giroux during the lockout in the French Canadian league a few French-Canadian players were thinking about creating. I'm excited to see a fully conditioned Perron this year.
i think the 2005 lockout really helped the players who got drafted during the 2003 NHL draft. if the whole season is cancelled, i wonder what kind of effect it will have on the players who got drafted in 2011, 2010 and 2009.
