Yeah this prospect draft is ****ing terrible. I've completely checked out with this. I was hoping this would get done before people get really busy with school.

I have so little time now that I'm in school. That's why I've got Colin making my prospect picks for me. He's usually on daily.

Started school also, good thing I do have time. Also, my laptop helps me with looking at HF.

I just noticed that there are 12 prospect picks not from the last 2 drafts. I'm guilty myself of this. I'm assuming we don't want to redo this dreaded draft so since this is the first year I say we let it slide. Something to keep an eye out for next year if that is going to be a rule. Thoughts?

Well, what people believe is the best prospect should be considered first and foremost. I do feel that people are most optimistic about a more recent and better remembered draftee than they are about one drafted ages ago. Even the prospect rankings are skewed towards the recent.

Not to sound too pesimistic, but it was a pleasure being a part of the fantasy draft with you guys. This draft was much needed this summer without Flames hockey and if the NHL lock-outs long term, I just want to say it sucks that I didn't get an opportunity to crush you all.

just thought id bump the page and quick question what happens if the season is locked out all year? do we keep our roster and fill spots if there are players that retire? or 9 keepers and go again?

I believe we would hold our 9 keepers and prospects and then go again.

After all that work I would prefer keeping our current lineups next year and who ever has someone retires has a draft to pick up a replacement.

I wouldn't be opposed to doing an extended keeper draft, say we get 15 keepers this year, that way we have a short draft next year to allow teams to re-balance positions and replace retired players or players who left for other leagues.

Also, its your turn to pick a prospect.

Good idea, I think that would be the best way to go.

I had Filip Forsberg already.
