I find myself upgrading my attributes much more often than I had in past games. More exp points given out this year I guess?

Haven't gotten far yet but it'd sure be nice to be able to get past 80 overall without getting bored of it. Also, I still don't understand how your player can be like 69 overall, yet every single one of your stats is above that.. could someone explain?

Have you tried playing on superstar, it's much less boring? And probably more frustrating
About the overall, there's a weight on each attribute that affects that, some don't affect overall at all and others do. Although I'm basing my knowledge on overalls off of NHL 12.

Problem is, I kind of enjoyed scoring 140 points as a sophomore in the NHL on pro difficulty (in 12) I just seemed to be stuck at like 78 overall for ages.

You cant up the difficulty after you've started if that's what you're getting at

I thought that's only the case if you play at Rookie level. Anything above that you can adjust between games.

Not too sure about this.

No, you can. It's only if you start on Rookie that you can't switch it. Pro/Allstar/Superstar can all be changed later though.

Won the Memorial Cup as a 15 year old. 2g5a in the final game hand-fed my left defense man a hat trick in about 5 minutes. I'm enjoying this so far.

I can't wait to get to the playoffs (probably going to do that tonight) and then the Memorial Cup.
What I do is SIM 5 games, play the 3rd period of the 6th.

Since its came out I'm already in my 3rd season, 1 year of junior, 2nd year of my NHL career.

Ah okay, so this works? They won't yell at you for skipping games if you sim 5? I know in Slapshot they got mad at you if you missed more than a couple. In fact, I remember as a rookie in the NHL playing the first 2 games and completely lighting it up but then I skipped a game so they sent me to the AHL for most of the season

Playing EASHL. Winning 2-1. Close to getting the first win to get my Amateur card. We lose 8-2 because people decided to go charging forward leaving me with 3 on 0 Breakaways and two defense own goals.

Quebec is sick in this game(might have upped some overalls by a few, but regardless). Grigorenko and Roy boy had 59 assists, I had 51. Adam Erne had 37 goals and 40-something assists.

Finished with 50 wins, Saint John's had 60 I think..

Nope they don't give me grief about it. But if you skip that 6th game they'll complain your "going through the motions out there". Thats why I just sim to the 3rd, doesn't matter what the score is, just go out there and play and everything will be good!

I hate how when my CPU players make bone-headed defensive zone line changes and I hop on and am only on the ice for 1 second and the opposing team scores and I get yanked off the ice with the "coach" saying "you were out there for a goal, thats a minus!"

gimmie a break.

Anyone else find that the shift lengths are quite short? seriously, sometimes I hop on the ice and at that time someone takes a shot the goalie covers it and right away I'm off. Or how I can be leading the league in goals yet were down by 1 and with 2 mins left I don't see the ice for the rest of the game.

Yeah the shift length is really short. I could be out for 5 seconds and if there's a face off I'm back on the bench. Still frustrated that I was sent to the AHL
