Help Finding a Couple Penguin Players Autos (Adams & Godard)
Hello Penguin Friends,
I've been working on an autograph project for a bit, and am having a bit of trouble finding a couple Penguins player's autographs. I'm pretty sure we can't buy things on this site, but if someone could send me in the right direction, that would be VERY much appreciated.
The two player's autos that I'm looking for are Eric Godard and Craig Adams. The difficult part is, I need the autos on 1) a standard sized hockey card (2.5" x 3.5") and 2) the card needs to depict them in a Penguins jersey. I can usually meet one of these requirements, but have been having trouble getting both.
I've used Steel City Gallery three times and it was HORRIBLE. I had to open cases each time because the card was never sent. There are a couple framed on eBay for ~$50, but these are not even close to $50 autos at all. Any idea of where I might be able to find these? Figured some people located in Pittsburgh might be able to help me out.
PS. I'll be going through Pittsburgh in about a month, so a local place could work as well.
I know there is a large autograph shop in the Robinson Mall, it's called Mr. Bill's Sports Collectibles. Could probably call and ask if they had those two, it wouldn't shock me. Other than that, I'd check eBay.
I currently only need ONE more signed card to complete my set - Mr. Eric Godard. I got Craig Adams' one about a month ago and would really like to get this last one to complete my quest. I've called pretty much every autograph shop in the Pittsburgh area and can't find anything. Any information would be appreciated. I was hoping to get this done by the end of the year... and it's getting close.
Maybe try sending a request to the Dallas Stars (or the Pens). I'm sure they can forward your request and it's not like they don't have time. Plus, Godard probalby doesn't get that many requests, unless a guy like Sid, he actually might gladly sign and return it for you.
Are you consciously trying to collect autographs of the worst hockey players to ever wear a Penguins jersey?
It's not like he's asking for the autographs of Ramzi Abid and Steve McKenna.
Common man, Adams is not the greatest but he's done some good things for our team on the PK, etc. I think he even scored a goal last year! And Godard... Godard wore red suits during cup celebrations. That has to be worth something.
In fact as a collector I think I'd be more interested in getting a Godard autograph on a picture of him in his red pimp suit with the Cup.

That sucks. Well maybe send an e-mail to the front office and ask them if and how they can help you. They won't give you the adress, but maybe they will forward your request if they know what it is about.
