We at least played well for half a season, the Phillies were floundering for 3/4 of the season before making this run. Then again, the Cards basically did that last year and look where it got them. Or the Kings in the NHL for that matter.

Red Sox fan or not...Fenway Park is an awesome place to catch a game. Combine that with taking a tour earlier in the day and our Wednesday rocked!

I highly recommend taking a game in at Fenway.

Which tour did you take? When I went last summer we got to go on the field and into the front office because one of my buddies knows the celebrity liaison (gives tours to Bon Jovi, etc. when they go to games). Pretty cool stuff.

Just the regular Joe Schmo tour....there was another tour going on with people going on the field but it was A LOT more expensive.

Callers were apparently calling in today and riding him about it and to show you how much the stick is up his ass, he said his eyes looked like they were closed and that he was not sleeping!

Because writing aggressive sounding tweets in broken English is the best way to prove him wrong.

Yanks had 15 total hits in both games of the double header, Ichiro accounted for 7 of those hits going 7-8 on the day with the game winning RBI in the night game

And four stolen bases in the nightcap. Crazy.

The Yankees' run differential is 110 runs better than the Orioles. If Baltimore makes the playoff, I'll be pretty beside myself.

Maybe stats aren't the end all, be all?

You can rest assured that the Yankees are a much better team than the Baltimore Orioles. Current run differential (as does goal differential, point differential, etc.) predicts future winning way better than current wins do. Winning games by eeking out a run, or in extra innings, just isn't sustainable over the long haul. Eventually the bounces will go the other way.

It's not even a matter of stats, it's just common sense. When you win by 3-4 runs, you're greatly reducing the chance that a bad a bounce or missed call will lose the game for you. But if you're consistently tied or up by one run, you're very exposed to those occurrences.

However, teams can get lucky. And Baltimore is getting very lucky this season.

I'm not one to reduce 150 games to "very lucky"

I hope the Orioles make it and win at least one round in the playoffs.
