You don't want to see Maple Leafs hockey this season?

I don't know what you've been watching, but I haven't seen Maple Leafs hockey since 2003. A high draft pick without the pain and suffering of watching a season of absolute crap would be wonderful.

Can people stop with the obsession over "Picks"? That's not the only way to get better.

I'll laugh my ass off at people like you when the season is lost and the Leafs end up picking 30th.

The Leafs actually got a worse pick last time there was no hockey than where they picked based on the standings the year prior.

Is that what it's come down to? Hoping to win a lottery? Our luck is just horrific.

I'd have to agree. The Leafs have zero luck at all and there's no way they're winning any lottery. That's the way things roll for this franchise unfortunately.

I'd rather just play the season and let the chips fall where they may. If Burke doesn't do anything else this team will get another good and possibly great draft pick in what is considered a strong draft. The Leafs are so thin on above-average talent that just one injury to a top player could sink them right to the bottom, too.

It does seem to be the only way to get a #1 center, I've lost hope in Burke trading for one.

Because free agency and trades have worked out so well for us.

Can someone who knows the lockout lottery rules shed some light on this topic?

Just what the Leafs need.

I'm pissed there is no hockey. Talk about a free pass for Burke. Pass GO and Collect $200.00
Had this roster as is played over an 82 game season - we would have been Guaranteed 30th. Burke would have been gone. Fired. Now were stuck with him for another 2 years minimum.

Perhaps the lockout is the exact reason why you have this roster "as-is". But don't let your BurkeHate get in the way of logical thinking.
