Henrik Sammuelsson was cut from USA Hockey's World Jr. Evaluation camp in Lake Placid... It doesn't mean that he can't still make the team in Dec., but he'll have to work harder to get noticed at the selection camp.

Sure. He was traded to the Rangers about a year ago for Ethan Werek.

Ruuttu had two goals today in a pre-season game on the 2nd highest level of Finnish hockey. That's probably where he'll start the season also but should get a couple of call ups to Jokerit when there are injuries etc.

Just watching one of the taped games from the recent Canada/Russia four game series. We may have something with Lessio. Big winger with size and speed. Goes to the net well. Has great chemistry with Isles prospect Strome.

Scouting reports to this point remind me a bit of Upshall. Always going to the net, but not a power forward. Not a great goal scorer but very good hands in tight. Not much use for linemates but great wheels. Also sounds like he's a really pesky player.

I watched games 2, 3 and 4 and I was very impressed with Lessio and how physical he was. He's strong along the boards and his skating is top notch. I've never considered the Upshall comparison before but it seems pretty accurate.

During the broadcast it was said that Lessio is 6'1 200lbs.

I wish we could watch that tournament in the states. I'm so flipping jealous.

Treliving talks about a few of the prospects. Samuelsson getting cut from Lake Placid. Tikkinen's raw skill. Lessios great tournament. Why Connor Murohy was in a cast for the development camp....

Looking forward to the next draft. This Kerby Rychel kid looks like quite a package of fun. A true, blue, not ****ing around power forward like they used to make.

Had over 40 goals in the OHL last season, the year BEFORE he was eligible for the draft. The year before that as a baby rookie in the OHL he had TEN fights. Think about that. Look at Tom Wilson who was a first round pick despite awful numbers in his draft year. Now look at Rychel.

40+ goals AND this...

Hoping I can see him play a few times this year. I don't know much about him, but I do know his dad is an ass

Fritsch getting into trouble. His odds of turning into a legit prospect seem to be getting longer.

Alexander Ruuttu called in for the Jokerit lineup fro tomorrow's European Trophy game against HIFK. He's played well in Kiekko-Vantaa's pre-season games.

He has nothing to prove at that level. He needs to play in the A.

Only as an overage - he's eligible for the A which is his most probable spot for this season.

Just browsing some CHL score sheets on opening night. Lessio got two goals and an assist in a 5-2 win. Samuelsson has a goal half-way through the game with a 3-2 lead.

I'm watching Samuellson's game online. Power forward who needs to work on skating. Would get more ice time on a less stacked team. Like what I see. Goal came from crashing the net and potting in rebound. He could have had two more the same way if the puck would have touched his stick.

I have a feeling he's going to have a healthy season, put up 1.5ppg and get a **** ton of hype this year.

Also, the new Sarnia uniforms look awesome.
