I hope so. I'm torn on starting him in fantasy - a little worried that he may have to devote a lot more snaps to blocking with Diehl out.

Oh well, it's time for Cruz Control, and hopefully we see some of Randle.
i think he definetly broke out on the national stage last year in the playoffs the way he performed. especially catching that hail mary pass in green bay. if people still dont recognize what a great receiver he is then they are morons. he is, i think, the best wide receiver they ever drafted.

Don't think we can win without Nicks, Bradshaw, Hixon.

Would love to be proven wrong. But we've got only one offensive weapon. He is a great one, but everyone else is pedestrian as best. Its all on Eli and the Defense.

It's all about the pass rush. If they can make life miserable for Newton, mission accomplished. It would help if Prince played too for that depleted secondary.

I'm excited to see what Randle got. I think he's going to be real solid and it's a great opportunity for him, Jernigan, and Barden to step it up.

Its an opportunity, and Randle may be good, but none of those guys will be as good as Nicks would have been. We can hope this is just this week he will miss.

I expect they'll keep Cruz running the same routes. They used Barden in Hixon's routes last week which was odd enough, perhaps they'll use Randle in Nicks's spot. But Randle doesn't even come close to the hands Nicks has.

With Eli throwing them the ball, i'm sure one of R2 or Barden will make enough of an impact, along with Bennett, that our offense will hold its own.

I'm worried about our D against Cam, and I also hope TC makes the leash longer for DW.

Its just not a game i'm feeling at all positive about. And if we know the Giants we know that no matter the team, they'll play to the level of the opposition. Unless its the Saints or Redskins, in which case we get stomped on.

We struggle mightily against QB's with legs.

Enter Cam Newton.

They really don't struggle against QBs with legs.

No Bradshaw or Nicks tonight has me going in with low expectations. If the defense steps up their game and contains Newton (a big IF) then I think Eli can handle the rest and get them the win.

Having Brown run like he did last week would also go a long way. However, it wouldn't be logical to expect the same performance from him; I hope he proves me wrong.

What? We let them run all over the field. Even QB's who aren't known for their running game pick up easy yards against us. Alex Smith in the NFC Championship game ran all over us.

Alex Smith ran all over the Giants because the Giants were perfectly happy to let Alex Smith run the ball. If Alex Smith was running the ball, they were doing something right.

Vick doesn't have a history of big games against the Giants.

Vick doesn't, but just about every other mobile QB does. But Newton is high profile enough that i'm certain Fewell will have his Vick playbook ready for him. Our LB's need to be strong enough to tackle him, though. I think this will have to be a big game for Kiwanuka, Blackburn.

Gabbert, Romo, McNabb come to mind. Its Gabbert particularly I remember shredding us. Guys maybe you don't plan for the constant run and surprise you when they do.

True words. They've been sleep-walking mostly through the first two weeks.

Gabbert? You're really using a preseason game as an example?

Romo? Like Alex Smith, if Romo is running, the defense is doing something right.

McNabb? I really don't recall great rushing games from him.

I can't equate guys you don't plan on running with what people consider to be mobile QBs.

I'm sorry, Garrard. Practically the same name on the same team. I goofed that one.

Didn't Vick have like a 130 yard game against us a year or two ago?

On an unrelated note, I could use some advice for fantasy.

This is for the flex position. McFadden vs. Pittsburgh or DeSean Jackson vs. Arizona?

Yeah, I remember when Dave Garrard ran over us. I'm not worried about it too much, the rest of the line just has to funnel Cam towards JPP and the LBs need to be ready to step up. Having Rivers back is big, he was awesome week one.
