Well, unless you have a sex change and become a hot chick... You don't have a chance. My best bud out here who is one of the better bartenders, he does about 60K a year as a dude. However, some of the best parts of the gig are the perks she gets from regulars... Example being enough miles to fly round trip from Atlanta to Italy first class, and only having to pay $50 each in taxes.
You assume I haven't.

Depends on the venue. Where she is at, it's not needed, expected, or really even wanted from the clients. It's an older crowd, with lots of scotch and cigars. To me, that's something you see more out of a tourist or younger crowd looking to get ****ed up.

Well, she makes bank like that too and the owner always hooks us up with shots and drinks, it's a nice place, it's not like that Tom Cruise movie.

The gig she had before was a lot like that. Nothing crazy, this is the Atlanta area after all, but they didn't want people using jiggers to measure drinks and shots.

Yeah, I went to Taste of Smyrna last weekend and it was pretty alright. I go to NYC a lot of weekends cause I went to school there and it's where my gf is.

What part of Smyrna... Like by the Vinings? I don't spend much time at all there. Use to work by the Galleria in the Sprint corporate office, right by the mall. Even then we'd usually head a little north over towards Dunwoody/Sandy Springs. If you're willing to go that way, I can give you a ton of great suggestions bar and restaurant wise.

I live near where 75 and 285 intersect so yeah by Vinings kinda. There's not much around here. I've gone out to eat once at Canoe (Vinings Jubilee area) and it was okay but I have been to way better places in Atlanta. It's just close to work so that's why I chose it, I'm only here until January anyway. But yeah, suggestions anywhere would be good.

Well, if you want a good sports bar with a ton of TVs, pretty good food, and decently priced beer... Head towards Hudson's Grill. It's about 10 minutes from 285/75,

http://metrocafes.com/hudsongrille/Home.aspx

Our go to spot use to be Firebird Rotisserie... but they're now a UT bar, so I'd only go their for NFL games. It's smaller, food is OK, but it's just a really cool set up. Nice thing is they put up sheets under each TV that shows which game will be on from open to close. They're also one of the few bars that have the NHL package, not that it matters at this point. Their patio is also awesome, that is usually enclosed and has a massive brick fireplace. They also have bags and beerpong set up most nights, or flippy cup.

Firkin and Gryphon also is a decent spot. Cheap drinks for the area, great food if you order right, and lots of TVs also. If you're into the UFC stuff, they buy most PPV fights and don't charge a cover fee... at least I'm pretty sure they buy most, don't follow it myself, just know they often advertise they aren't charging a cover fee.

What kind of beer you like? Great beer selection, no doubt, and unmatched in this area.... but they're way overpriced.

5 Seasons is one of our personal favorite restaurants. Food is ****ing awesome, they only use what's local, fresh, and organic. All their beer is home brewed as well. Their Espresso Chocolate Stout is incredible, and should be available in the next month or so. Oh, and their food and beer are moderately priced too. You can get a great sandwich/burger for like $12, and a great pint for $5.

Not sure if you watch any food shows, like Top Chef... But Richard Blais is pretty big down here, and has a great burger joint called Flip. It's modern, and kind of hipster in an annoying way... but the good is great, and has some really weird and cool cocktails, and milkshakes for that matter. Doesn't break the bank either, can grab a burger for like $10.

Just like anywhere, Skokie is a mixed bag. I grew up in Evanston, do I knew a lot of Skokie kids.

Some of the smartest, hardest working people I have ever met grew up in Skokie.

But at the same time, I've also met a whole crap load of people from there who didn't realize how good they had it.

Yeah well that's almost to be expected at a place like that. That 5 Seasons place looks awesome I will definitely check it out. I like stouts, strong hoppy ales, and barleywines a ton. But pretty much everything is good in my book. I'm brewing my own pale ale at the moment.

Also, Goose Island begins distribution in Georgia in November.

I'd say put 5 Seasons at the top of your list. I've never been to the Sandy Springs location, but the one in Alpharetta is amazing. Can't imagine Sandy Springs is anything but equal. We go there a few times a month, no joke.

Saw that, and have mixed feelings on it. I won't pass judgement on it till I have one distributed down here, but I don't have high expectations... mostly so I don't have a massive letdown.

If you guys want a story that will give you hope for society, I've got one. A high school football recruit that committed to Florida State quit football after suffering his fifth concussion. Great judgement on the kid's behalf. Florida State is also still going to honor his scholarship. Good to know that colleges really do care more about the kids than the money (if any) they are paying them and that there are kids being smart.

Ahh, just basically they think the world revolves around them, the girls are high maintainence, things like that. It's hard to really talk to them, they make me feel like I'm not apart of teh group when I hung out with them. Idk, and it's like the more of them I meet the more I notice this. Guys are usually cool, but the girls are stuck up.

Girls pick up on confidence. If you ask rocking a flop sweat and stammering you won't get the same answer if you look her in the eye and smile.
