Dumb penalty by Cardwell. You saw Athanasiou's numbers the entire time.

Thats why I've been pumping Ceci's tires for 2 years. Plays like that.

Wow that's great for them. When was the last time they got that many out to one of their games?

Not sure... The old arena could only hold what, 9,500-10,500?

Monhan was just beastly. Inside the blueline he just has that special "it" factor.

Love that the attendance was superb, hopefully it's like that all season even if the Sens come back.

They played a game at SBP a few years ago against Kingston I believe, and sold out the place. It was a special event to set the OHL attendance record.

Ceci didn't have a great game imo but still came away with 4 points. Love it.

I was at the game. There was probably 10,000 or 11,000 at best. The entire 300's was empty for the most part.

Definitely not 15,000+ . Don't know where they got that stat from.

Tickets sold/given away most likely.

It didn't look there was nearly 10 thousand there. Hard to tell. Good showing either way.

The 100s and 200s looked pretty full to me, but as is the case with any arena, if it's less than 90% capacity the atmosphere isn't as good.

That's my only concern about a team like Ottawa playing in the SBP.

Really enjoyed the game.

Amazing atmosphere, better in my opinion compared to the Civic Center. But then again I've never been to a home opener before either.

100s and 200s were pretty much full and a bunch of people brought big 67s flags and such as well, which is a small thing but really adds to a sporting event in my mind (reminds me of the huge European soccer team zealots ).

Very entertaining game, particularly given I've always found attending OHL games to be a bit more "campy" in entertainment terms.

Really sucks that we only play both Plymouth and Kitchener once each at home. I'll definitely be going to that game as well though.

Erie is another must-see game too with Connor McDavid.

Just thought about this, If players are locked out of the SBP, why are players like Ceci, Prince, Puemps ect allowed to play there? Aren't they property of the Sens? If regular Sens players can't use the facilities, why can Ceci and them all use it?

Ceci and Prince are not getting "paid" to play for the Ottawa Senators. The lockout just stops paid employees from entering. They have deals with Ottawa, but as long as they aren't "called up" then they are good to go I believe.

Oh, okay. That makes sense. Thanks for the answer.
