He's the type of player that his effectiveness won't lessen over the years, he'll be just as useful when he's 36.

You're the second person to try to put words into my post that aren't really there. I'm just tired of the guy. How I'm suddenly such a bad person for that is beyond me...

And Arnott may be bigger than other players, but he sure as hell never played like it. Arnott is pretty soft, hence my tongue-in-cheek remarks.
Because in doing so you wish the guy loses his ability to make a NHL pay cheque!

love these comments

don't know why it's so attractive to be a consistent non-playoff team. I wouldn't trade this team for one with youth and potential because we have a shot at the cup for the next while, can't say the same for any of the teams listed above.

I think this is a solid contract. This is something I think Lucic should've had aswell

Harder minutes for Marchand? Burrows gets no powerplay time and plays both the PK against the opposition's best forwards and ES against the opposition's best defense.

How does Marchand have tougher minutes again?

Burrows gets the same amount of PP as Marchand. Marchand plays against the opponents top line.

Is it a harder to matchup to play against the opposition's top offensive unit or top defensive unit?

I disagree. The reason why the Sedins and Burrows are put out on the ice are to score goals. They'd have an easier time doing their job against the opposing teams top offensive unit.

Well, he plays against the opposition's top offensive unit on the 1st PK, and he plays against the opposition's top defensive unit ES with the Sedins, so either way, pick your poison.

Another great signing by Gillis. Here's to hoping we get to see him earn it before next September.

I am pretty sure they would also get scored on more.
